The Cabin is perfect for 4 but can accommodate 6 with 2 bedrooms; 1 double with french doors onto veranda overlooking woods and stream and 1 bunk room with shorty bunkbeds. In living area 2 Sofa chairs .

Kitchen area with built in hob and oven and dishwasher and washing machine, coffee machine.

Living area with breakfast bar and seating for 6 including sofa & chairs, TV & WIFI, Ipod Dock. French Doors onto front veranda overlooking woods.

Parking area for 1 car

2 verandas (covered) and small garden area with BBQ

We were watching the rugby at principality and looking for a stay outside of the chaos and we found this gem. A cute cabin, perfect for us as a couple but would have been lovely with our children too. The accomodations was homely and had lovely little touches such as wine and Welsh cakes. I wish the weather was kinder so I could have enjoyed the outside area, we certainly appreciated how warm the cabin was.The hosts were brilliant with answering our questions and making recommendations when we asked.

We received a warm welcome to the cabin, the lights and heating were on when we arrived and welsh cakes and mulled cider left out for us. The cabin had a cosy, homely feel and was beautifully decorated and also had a well equipped kitchen. The cabin was well situated for woodland walks and visiting Cardiff and the Valleys. We are planning to visit again and would recommend this for a relaxing weekend stsy reecommend the dthi

We stayed at the Cabin for two days with the kids and dog whilst visiting family. The location was ideal for the dog and local woodland walks and easy access to Cardiff. Cost and quaint. A lovely break.

Gorgeous location, right on the Taff Trail. Easy walk from the train station and perfect spot for exploring the countryside and close to Cardiff for shopping and other city amenities. Very functional cabin with everything you need for a short stay.

I would definitely recommend this accommodation. It is tucked away in a village/ small town that has a few good pubs and food options. You can cycle straight from the cabin, or a drive into the Beacons is only 1/2hr or so. Plenty of room for family of 4, everything you'd need in the cabin and cosy and warm.

The cabin was pretty much as expected with some additional lovely touches by Rachael. I wouldn't recommend it for 6 people, the main bed is a bit small (1.30m at a guess) and one of us grown-ups ended up using the fold-out couch in the living area. But for a family of 4 (and one dog) it was perfect. Gives the feeling of being out in the sticks whilst really, it's 3minutes to the next Co-Op...

We really enjoyed our stay here. was just perfect for a few days and a nice quiet environment in the woods. easy and accessible to Motorway and into Cardiff. We loved the Rustic feel of the place and was very cozy. Everything was perfect. If i was being picky i would say a new microwave would be a goer and the pillows and duvets were pretty old. Nice plump pillows and a nicer tog Duvet would be nice. minor things but all in all a lovely spot.

An amazing small cabin, off the Taffs Trail. A stone throw from Castell Coch and 7 mins to outskirts of Cardiff. Set in a wooded area, in a quite spot behind the Taffs Well ground. Easy to get on the Taffs Trail to the Bay or Brecon if you want. Clean, comfortable and well presented, with everything available to make your stay hassle free. Lovely back balcony overlooking a small relaxing stream. Plenty of wild life and a very friendly Grey squirrel. Highly recommend to anyone looking to be close to Cardiff or looking to explore the South Wales valley's. Host is friendly and communication was super. We will certainly be looking to book again for further stays in South Wales. Highly recommended.

This was our third time here, second in the cabin and as always the cabin was immaculate and comfortable, everything you need is in the cabin. The location is stunning amongst the trees with fabulous walks on the doorstep. Will define back next year!

The cabin is such an amazing space for the family. We were all comfortable and warm. Right by the stream for a lovely dining experience for all and treats on arrival. What more could you ask for? Also a little quirky space which makes the stay all the more interesting.

We were looking for reasonably priced accommodation whilst visiting Cardiff for the Six Nations Rugby match. Booked the Cabin on the Trail for a fraction of the price that most of the hotels were asking and we weren't disappointed. Finding the property was easy using the directions sent by Rachael the owner. Although we arrived much later than planned, we found the cabin beautifully lit and warm. It has a very quirky interior and I can imagine that, in the summer, it would be lovely to sit on the little veranda enjoying a glass of wine. The additional touches made the stay even better - from the comprehensive instructions on how to use the shower and TV, to the bottle of wine and Welsh cakes. Wonderfully secluded yet within 10-15 minutes walk of the town centre and the train station. My one piece of advice, particularly if you are staying in winter, would to bring a torch if you are planning to walk back from the station - the shortest route is not lit. Also, if you're looking for modern luxury in the centre of everything, this is probably not the place for you. But if you're after peace and quiet in really comfortable and unusual accommodation whilst not paying the earth, this could well be what you're looking for.

We (dad and 2 teenage daughters) had a great weekend in the cabin. We travelled from Norfolk for the international rugby match in Cardiff. Taffs Well train station in a 10 minute walk, there is a train literally every 15 minutes and the journey to Cardiff Central is 20 minutes costing £4 an adult. The cabin is very well equipped and it is cosy. The bottle of wine to welcome us was a nice touch after a long trip. I have no doubt that we will be back to explore the area some more. We really enjoyed our stay here loved every minute. Cabin was lovley, just a few cob webs and spiders had to keep brushing away. Also where its hot a fan in the larger bedroom would be great, as it got very hot at night. Other than that it was perfect webuad such a fantastic time. And it was like home from home tv,cooking facilities etc

Was a beautiful property would have been lovely if we could book in before 5 was a long few days just wanted to be settled ...bottle of wine and welsh cakes on arrival which was lovely .property was well equipped....property is near a football ground which can be loud but for us was fine ...opposite property is a path used by many so found we shut blinds for that extra bit of privacy...all and all lovely will deff return again x
