Stayed here 27-30 Aug 2026 to attend the fringe and celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The room was fantastic, luxurious, had everything we needed. It is a small establishment and there is not a 24 hour reception but this was not an issue at all as everything was catered for and we knew how to contact someone if there was a need. The location was fantastic, backing on to Calton hill, beside a fabulous shopping centre, 7 minute walk from tram to airport and about 10 minute from train station. We ordered breakfast one morning and it was a break-feast! A real treat, every item was delicious, a lot of care and attention went into the preparation and delivery. The bed was the most comfortable - best nights sleep!

I liked the hotel, been there before but thought it was not very customer friendly to deny me breakfast as I haven't prebooked it. How hard can it be for a single person to provide breakfast? Other than that happy with the stay.

A beautiful property and only a short walk away from the heart of Edinburgh. The room was big, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The staff are warm, friendly and very attentive. I cannot fault this hotel

As it is a traditional building there is no lift so it might not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues
