If you wanted to pop into Ubud proper (Its ridiculously busy and difficult to walk around) you need to use their shuttle, rent a bike or get a Gojek

Everything is fantastic and every aspect from the facilities, staff, grounds and rooms are incredibly accommodating. My one gripe is that the pillows, while very plush, new and clean, are too tall for me, but that's simply because I normally use a thin pillow.

Luxury jungle tranquility

The Kayon is definitely the place for complete relaxation and tranquility. From arrival to departure, everything was perfect. The staff is so friendly and attentive and even though we only stayed for one night they gave us all the information we needed to make our stay memorable. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. Small touches like the afternoon tea on arrival, free 10 minute massage and handwritten welcome note is above and beyond. The free shuttle to Ubud central is great. Next time we will definitely stay longer!

Not a dislike, but many stairs. It was fine for us, but won't be suitable for people with mobility problems. This is stated on their booking site so should not be a surprise!

One of the best places I’ve ever been. It was surreal - both the place (in the middle of the green jungle, infinity pool, waterfall) and the kindness and the attentiveness of the staff. Breakfast was great. Free shuttle to Ubud was also handy.

2nd time visiting Kayon Resort

This was our second stay at The Kayon Resort, and it was just as incredible — if not better — than the first! You feel truly pampered at this resort. The staff are warm, attentive, and always eager to assist with any questions or requests. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, which is especially important to me due to a back injury. The resort is kept clean, and the thoughtful turndown service each evening is such a lovely touch — returning to a softly lit room with drawn curtains and a lovely fragrance after a long day is pure bliss. I definitely recommend using the resort’s private driver service. We booked a full-day tour, plus transfers to the ferry terminal and airport, and it was seamless especially after the flooding. Our driver, Karta, was not only professional and friendly but also shared fascinating insights into Balinese culture throughout our trip. The van was spacious and comfortable, and we were always greeted with cold towels and bottled water after each outing — a small but much-appreciated luxury. The tours are fairly priced and can be completely customized to your interests and pace, which made the experience more enjoyable. I sincerely hope this wasn’t my last visit to this wonderful resort — I’m already looking forward to returning!

Happy we returned to the Kayon

This was our second stay at the Kayon Resort and we are glad we decided to return. The staff and service were great, nothing was too much trouble. They were also able to easily accommodate my husband’s gluten intolerance at breakfast and the times we had dinner there.

The kayon is usually a little slice of peace and quiet away from the craziness of central Ubud and this is why we wanted to return. Unfortunately they are currently doing some major construction at the hotel which we were only informed of when we arrived and the noise did impact our stay and took away from some of the experience we were hoping for.

Very nice surroundings of the hotel - placed in the jungle with a lot of greenery and view of the river in the valley. Very good food at the restaurant. The room was clean but nothing too fancy.

There is currently loud construction works ongoing on both properties surrounding the hotel making it hard to relax. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. The staff is nice but a bit overdoing it with forced kindness and a lot of questions. The acutal standard is rather 4 stars. We didn’t try the SPA as we found it severely overpriced compared to high end places in Ubud.

The stuff are incredibly nice and hospitable, the hotel view inside the forest is amazing, calming, and beautiful. They are cleaning the room almost twice a day to keep everything clean and tidy, and also to keep away any bugs or mosquitoes

Nothing about the stuff, but due to the location of the hotel and the humidity and forest around, the room was a little bit smelly , but nothing related to the cleanliness, they are very clean!

Colder pool in the villas, noy a bad thing but it can be chilly. The resort as well has no elevators so be prepared to climb some stairs.

Perfect place for the honeymoon

We liked the location, amazing views wherever you look, cleaning team was fantastic, no insects despite the fact that you are in the middle of the jungle, staff was amazing! Good selection of ala-carte breakfast. Staff are friendly. There is in-house motorcycle for renting. The paddy field walk gave me the opportunity to learn about Bali culture. The shuttle to Ubud City is helpful.

This place is one of the best places I have ever experienced. From the moment I stepped in to when I checked out I was in heaven. My check-in was very late but the resort had a sandwich waiting for me and my suitcase in my room.I am A solo traveller, and normally I feel a little anxious/miss home but this place never gave me that feeling. My room had beautiful veiws, monkeys, a flowing river. Breakfast was exceptional and the service even more amazing. I did yoga every morning and had a lush massage every other day. The staff are so friendly attentive and the service is fast. The lychee martini was the real deal. Highly recommend this place. Yes it is a little far from central Ubud but the hotel Offer a shuttle service.

1) i was bitten by beg bugs all over my body and legs 2) there’s no exclusive privacy with so many kids and family crowding the main pool. i didn’t managed to use it since the resort decided to open to day visitors. 3) Private pool water wasn’t really clean when looked under water.

Best Hotel in Ubud

On our experience with The Kayon Resort, we really like the view, the food, and the services of their employee. The magnificent view of their hotel is a must-see, especially the view of the waterfalls while on your romantic dinner or even breakfast. The food is exquisite. We enjoyed their 7 menu dinner and all of them are 10/10. Complements to the chef 👨‍🍳 🙌 Lastly, the all staff of The Kayon Resort, their Restaurant, and Spa are all friendly and very accommodating. Shout-out to Gungde who accommodated us during our Romantic Dinner, and Agus who was with us during breakfast in front of the waterfalls.
