Staff was friendly.
They could put toothbrush and other things. Conditioner was right on my head. The corridor to rooms was too narrow

Breakfast was nice with fresh fruit and eggs cooked to choice. Location was peaceful and quiet
Roadworks unavoidable but staff very helpful

The swimming pools, views, and entire staff were wonderful and incredibly friendly. We had many great conversations about the history of the pieces used throughout the property and the various art and architectural styles you’ll find here.
We stayed in the Temor Cottage, which was carefully preserved and restored at this location. It preserves its rustic charm but now includes a marble bathroom addition. (Careful on the stairs!)
The property offers two restaurants and a wonderful breakfast, as well stunning jungle views.
I would suggest the Warung cafe on the property as well as that was priced in idr and really fun artistic pieces throughout the building and restaurant. I recommend the spring rolls and the ice cream!
It’s a fantastic place for a group stay, (a few great spaces made for yoga or meditation) and the Wi-Fi was strong throughout the property. A lot of heart and soul went into this resort and we really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you
The dinner prices at one restaurant were high (priced in USD) for Indonesian food which seemed odd. However the food was good and we had a great breakfast with warm fresh pastries. (Best we have had on our trip here so far!)
There is another hotel next door we accidentally wandered into (it’s easy to do) and those were the only staff that were rude.

Wow, what a resort so tranquil and relaxing. All the staff were accommodating and friendly. Food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonable, restaurant staff were 2nd to none.

Staff were friendly and respectful. We were refunded (did not meet advertised standards, and we left)
Dingy room, poor bedding, dark and uncomfortable, small room. Shabby furniture and fixtures, some broken.
NOT soundproof. Thatch design, had to whisper for private conversation, and could hear neighbours chat.
Expensive and inaccurate Star rating.
Not mosquitoproof (did provide Mosquito nets)
Disapointing from what we were expecting. Not sure how this got 5 stars.
Fridge, kettle, and coffee making facilities in bathroom/toilet room.

Fantastic location in the cultural heart of Bali the beautiful tranquil Ubud. Superb hotel in magnificent greenery surroundings. All staff are very kind, helpful & friendly always there to assist you with a smile. Lovely swimming pools, with breathtaking views. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to experience the real Bali, central location to many famous sites nearby. The resort also arrange taxis at very competitive rates with reliable trustworthy drivers too. Enjoy Bali & visit Ubud.
Breakfast was a set menu, with a choice of Balinese, American or Continental, portions were minimal but just about enough.

All the food was delicious and the restaurant by the frog pond was wonderful. The pool outside our villa was perfect with a great view over the valley. The most outstanding feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
The villa we booked had a steep staircase down to the bathroom which for older people was a hazard. We moved to a level, more expensive villa which was perfect.

Everything was Beautiful, the staff were attentive. And when I needed something done or a minor change to my sleeping quarters . It was handled straight away.
The breakfast was amazing
The staff are wonderful and the whole vibe of the place is nice .
I stayed in the rooms / if you have limited ability to walk this would not be suitable.
Everything was perfect . You get what you paid for .

A taste of the old Bali this hotel hosts a beautiful collection of Balinese art. The staff are 100% wonderful. The rooms are huge. The pools are great and with a lovely view.

We had requested for two rooms on the ground floor for the older people, but this was denied.
The rooms and toilets were not clean.
The breakfast was horrible.

- The pool shape and view were amazing
- The room view from the balcony is very nice
- They have very big and nice rooms and a garden lots of little details you can spend time watching and enjoying
- The room was very big with a comfy bed and chairs and a table, very helpful for working and staying in the room
- The reception staff were very friendly and happily showed us the area in the hotel and helped us with arranging a taxi.
- There was a wooden area with a jungle view, which has a spectacular view of the jungle, very good for yoga and meditation, I loved it very much.
- The Internet wasn't that good
- The restaurant staff looks dissatisfied with their job, The first night we went late, 3 min before closing order time and they didn't help us even with offering in-room service, so we were forced to try to order with the grab.
- The cleaning staff were very friendly
- The hotel nearby street was not Walkable, but we found a good restaurant nearby, named Insenja which delivers food to the hotel.
- They need to change the pad under the glasses, it smells bad.
- many stairs ( for us, not a big deal as they help us with our luggage)
- The animal pictures on the door were a bit frightening, I prefer not to see a monkey that big every time I enter my very nice room.
- The colour of the pool tiles was dark, and I didn't use the pool, just because I couldn't feel or check its cleanliness but I took many pictures, it had an amazing view.

As way of preface, I'd like to note, I'm not usually the type of traveller to leave reviews, typically I keep my travel experiences to myself, if it was bad, it's not my problem to warn the world, if it was great, I just enjoy the time and move on with my life, it's not my job to rate and review my entire life so some stranger can read it and decide whether to spend money on a hotel.
But in the case of this hotel, the reviews are so off the wall bonkers, I deemed it necessary to at least inject a little perspective. Obviously if you're going to decide whether to stay based on a series of arbitrary reviews, that's your business.
Here's the deal, this hotel is great. If you want to stop reading now, by all means. If you'd like me to go on, here it is: Ubud is a zoo, everything near downtown is clogged with traffic, this place is not that. A tranquill slice of peace in the mountains with one of the most stunning views I had in maybe all of Bali. You can order a car, it will take you downtown, its very easy, feel free, but it's great to come back here after.
The grounds are well maintained, and cared for. The pools were lovely and refreshing.
The breakfast, which voluminous numbers of reviewers here took the time to gripe about is just fine. Filling and tasty, there are several options, it comes out fast and hits the spot. The dinner is pricey, but you do you, there are plenty of options around the area.
So if you've read this far and are on the fence, don't be, book away, you'll be fine.
It was great, no notes.

Room was spacious, no bed bugs and they had hot water
They left a half opened bottle of water in the fridge ... didn't replenish it after the last guest... there was an empty can of coke in the bin after the last guest... they didnt even empty the bin & asked if I consumed it.... Everything about the room was cheap.... they didnt even have proper drinking glasses... it was plastic... the shampoo n soap were in plastic bottles and labelled with labels from a label maker.... I wouldn't recommend this place... Plus the room was yellow.. I hate yellow (that's my fault though, I saw the photos online)
Really didnt like this hotel

The property is really beautiful, it had a private way to the Petanu river where you could go and sit in peace. The view from the room was excellent too - you could see the lush green valley directly from outside the room.
The property also had a clean and big infinity pool overlooking the valley where one could take a swim in.
The staff was also very helpful, polite and always smiling.
They could have provided more vegetarian options on the menu and the breakfast.

Old. Out dated..far away..expensive.. it's 1980s and hasn't changed since.
Better value elsewhere

Big rooms, very attentive staff, traditional style, and a nice jungle setting.
It felt as if the buildings were aging and have seen better days.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating.
They had a lovely pool and an impressive art gallery.
The food was made for kings. Definitely suggest the breakfast included option.
There was absolutely nothing I did not like about the property.

Location and view
The resort is old.. needs renovation, fresh paint and pools need new cares.
The shower pressure was an abomination. You cant shampoo your hair properly.

Not a lot
It’s old and in need of maintenance , paint peeling , a bath without any taps , the art it’s suppose to be about was mostly locked rooms you couldn’t go into , the free breakfast was , well you would not pay for it
5.0 / 10.0
Studio room really generous size, pool beautiful, view beautiful, staff very welcoming, easy access to Ubud
Hotel is a little 'tired' and lots of small things that could be done just that little bit better took the 'gloss' off our stay when compared to other Balinese hotels & villas. Like no drinking water in the rooms or asking for an extra piece of toast at breakfast and being told 'not sure that is possible'. Really simple things but just felt hotel wanted to charge for everything. 1 restaurant & rooftop bar not ope during our stay in high season. Nice place but to be honest can do better for the money

It was so beautiful. The view of the jungle from my villa was superb. I definitely recommend booking a villa over a room as they didn’t seem nearly as nice. The staff were so helpful and friendly and not just out for your money like in some places I stayed. I absolutely adored the place and wish I’d been there longer. Definitely order the steak if go. It’s the best ever!
Nothing at all. It is a bit far out of town. But that’s what made it nice. Just stock up on drinks and snacks on your way. As there aren’t many shops nearby. My taxi driver was happy to stop at a supermarket on way.
7.0 / 10.0
The place is beautiful and the owner has tried to make the place an art gallery which is very nice and is the way they sell the hotel ("Art Resort"), but unfortunately when we booked the hotel nobody told us that the art galleries were closed down so it was not possible to see the art at all. The restaurant had only half of the products they offered in the menu and the bar was also closed down. Swimming pool was nice but also need a bit of love, there was no any sunshade so it was quite difficult to enjoy the swimming pool. Rooms looked a bit old.
Art galleries closed down. Bar closed down. Restaurant had only a few options to choose from.

A Pleasant Stay with Minor Room Issue
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tanah Meraj art resort, and overall, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm hospitality made us feel welcomed and cared for. They were attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist with any queries we had during our stay. Kudos to the excellent staff who made our visit so memorable!
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were looking for a quiet place to stay during our visit to Ubud.
The size of the room we stayed in was impressive. It provided ample space to move around comfortably. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The hotel's general facilities were quite good. We explored a little bit. Didn't use the poll but it seems amazing.
Our breakfast was fine, with good options and they even attended all the questions we had (one of our group has strong food allergies).
In conclusion, I highly recommend the stay for anyone visiting the area. The friendly and attentive staff, location, spacious rooms, and excellent facilities make it a good choice for accommodation.
I must mention a minor issue that we encountered during our stay. One of the rooms we rented had a slight problem with humidity odor. While it wasn't overpowering, it was noticeable upon entering the room. As soon we turned the AC on it was gone. We didn't even try to change room for it and didn't notify the staff as it wasn't so strong. The offered AC and fan in each room.

Nice, big, clean and comfortable rooms. Private waterfall in walking distance. Not far from Ubud central and monkey forest. Staff pleasant and helpful. Monkeys in view in the trees from dusk. Cooking class near by.
The acoustics of the rooms. We had people staying above us and sounded like they were moving furniture around into the early hours. One night it was until 1am so hard to get to sleep!
Didn’t understand the concept of having two menus, one in rupiah and one in dollars.
