Location location location

This place is in an idyllic spot right by the river, and in the evening the walk into the village is just beautiful. The staff are fantastic – super friendly, extremely helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with beds in excellent condition that guarantee a great night’s sleep. The atmosphere is lovely, with a small stream running right next to the guesthouse. The food is exceptional, and the breakfast is of really high quality. We would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a wonderful place – just like so much of this country.

Beautiful location

Great location with a beautiful view of the river and mountains. The included breakfast was really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had two connected double rooms that were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The beds were great, and the small balcony was a nice bonus. There’s also a clean and pleasant pool – not very big, but we went for a swim in the late afternoon and had it all to ourselves.

It was quite busy during our stay, which is understandable in high season, but it did feel a bit crowded. I think some of the people were just coming for the restaurant. There wasn’t really enough space in the parking area, so someone parked their car behind ours, which meant we couldn’t get out. The walls were also a bit thin, so we could hear our neighbors more than expected.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay for a few days flyfishing the Soča and Bača.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and restaurant, stunning location with beautiful views of the confluence of two rivers, lovely covered outdoor dining location overlooking the rivers, ideal location relevant with easy access to the general area, good parking facilities. Easy access to walk the Tolmin Gorge.

Awesome view. We were in the newly built rooms with a nice bath room and a spacious balcony. Breakfast was ok/basic but the dinner was very delicious! Would definitely recommend for a stop over

A great place in a great location, we took two rooms, unfortunately in one room there was a smell of sewage due to prolonged lack of use in the room which was a little spoiled Great pizza a short walk away

Exceptional

Penzion Sterk is a gem in the middle of paradise. Perfect location just above the river with a beautiful view from the terrace. The bungalow is right next to the woods and there is a hike trail along the river. It's peaceful and quiet. The staff is very feiendly and helpful. The shared bathroom and toilet are always clean.

Uncomfortable bungalow stay

Nice location next to a quiet area of the river. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The hotel offers paddleboard rental.

The bungalow we stayed in was pretty uncomfortable. There is no fan or AC and your only option really is to leave the windows open all night. Regardless we struggled to sleep well. There were dead bugs around the bungalow as if it hadn't been cleaned recently. The shared bathroom/shower is in fact a long walk away from the bungalows, which makes going to the toilet at night or taking a shower inconvenient. The bed was broken and kept buckling before we managed to push it together to fix it temporarily. It's really too expensive for what it is - luckily we were only staying for one night.

Bungallow is small, but very nice, with a terrace facing the pension and town. The only missing could be air-condition when there is very hot outside (we slept with completely opened doors and windows). You have a toilet and shower available in the main building. Breakfast was ok. above average.

There is no aircon in the rooms. It could have been cleaner. Paper-thin walls so you can hear everything from the rooms next door.

We liked our stay in the bungalow a lot! It was very clean and despite extremely high summer temperatures, it was not too hot. You can swim in a swimming pool or enjoy amazing views from the restaurant that serves delicious breakfast. Great value for the price!

Great location, really amazing view. We were two friends staying for one night only. They have a pool we used in the evening. There was a lot of choices for breakfast. The staff was helpful, friendly and kind.

Great hospitality & superb food

Inspiring views from the terrasse. Food was constantly amazing. Our dogs were warmly welcomed. We stayed in the bungalow huts in the garden and liked it a lot!
