Excellent - would go back and stay again

Very pleasant room with comfortable bed and a spacious shower room which was well appointed. Quirky decoration in the lobby. Interesting rooms and alcoves around the hotel. Lovely indoor pool and even lovelier outdoor pool. Swimming before breakfast with the birdsong overhead was memorable. Very conveniently placed on our road trip journey. Excellent food and wine in the restaurant. Lovely terrace for breakfast and one of the best breakfast menus on our holiday. Really friendly receptionist who welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and the local area.

Alps and Africa... is it a first sight love?

Pool area nice but a little busy most times. Nice room, very helpful staff, very original blend between the Alps and Africa.

Excellent price-quality

Excellent price-quality, the breakfast was suberb (included also lots of fruits and healthy stuff). There is a washing machine for hotel guests to use, which is a huge plus if you are on a longer holiday trip and doing a lot of hiking.

Superb

Great location( close to Merano and a beautiful hotel) .Botango is a great place to relax! Breakfast is super, fresh and a lot of healthy choices. Pool and Sauna facilities are also fantastic.

Lovely hotel with great facilities

A beautiful hotel which is just off the main road, meaning it was easy to get to and from the surrounding areas. The spa was lovely, we got a massage and facial and we were able to use the spa facilities during our stay. Tea and healthy snacks were available to us and it was set in beautiful surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant on site also served really delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The window in our room had a really big crack through it and the staff did little to help.

Disappointing

Great breakfast, very useful bike maintenance station.

The room looked nothing like on the photos, the furnishing was old and there was mold in the bathroom. Most of the staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. Very disappointing stay given the price we paid.

Passable

Spa facility at Botango is very good and opened until 11pm which is great as you can still enjoy the spa area after dinner. Restaurants on premises are very good especially the pizzeria. Staff at restaurants were really friendly and welcoming.

Reception staff were on the cold side - they were polite enough but it was really a small thing such as they did not ask how our stay was when we checked out. Felt like they were more interested in you just paying and leave as quickly as possible. We do not speak Italian but my partner speaks German fluently and even then we still felt ignored. Worst of it was we booked a more expensive room which was advertised as “garden view” and “not facing street”. Based on reviews from other travelers it could get pretty noisy with the traffic on the street so we decided for this more expensive option. Sure enough we got a room which doesn’t face the “main” street but still face a smaller road leading uphill which means you still get a bit of traffic noise. But the worst thing was the room is facing a location where air conditioning / heating compressors and delivery drop-off point are located so it was noisy pretty much all the time. Garden was more like an unkept grass lawn. They should have let us know upfront and we certainly shouldn’t be paying for “quiet room with garden view” if this is what we got. Disappointing.

Excellent hotel, superb food and wellness facilities make this a great base for visiting Merano

The hotel far exceeded our expectations - breakfast was incredible, a huge range of choice even down to the smoothie machine allowing you to make your own smoothies. We also ate dinner at the hotel which was delicious. The rooms were super clean and eco, with a wonderfu shower. The pool, wellness and gardens were a delight and very relaxing.

We would have just preferred 2 single beds.

Great location and views

We traveled with a dog and this hotel is very pet-friendly. You cannot take the dog to SPA zone or to the restaurant, but there is an outdoor area for dining and it's even better to order from the same restaurant but eat with a mountain view and take your pet with you.

The hotel is close to the road so there are chances to get a noisy room. Transparent bathroom door can also be uncomfortable, if you know what I mean :)

Good food in an even better hotel

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern with nice rooms and a pool area (indoor and outdoor pool). The food (breakfast buffet and restaurants) is good. The price is very fair.

The hotel is located at a noisy road but the windows are well soundproofed. It was imposssible to shower without creating a little flood.

Wunderbare Entspannung

Schönes,modernes, großzügiges Zimmer mit Leseecke und kleinem Wintergarten und Balkon.Alles sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, mit vielen regionalen Leckereien, wie jeden Morgen auch schon Leckereien Süßspeisen, wie z.B. Nougatknödel oder Mohnschupfnudeln. Eine tolle Brotauswahl, Bircher Müsli und einen Entsafter, um sich einen frischen Smoothie zu kreieren. Ein schöner Wellnessbereich mit Saunen, Hallenbad und Pool.Daybeds zum Relaxen, mit Teebar, Äpfeln.... Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, auch der Bus hält direkt vor dem Haus , man ist in 15 min. in Meran. Schöne Wanderwege, z.B Partschinser oder.Algunder Waalweg. Ich könnte noch lange so weiter schwärmen, wir kommen auf alle Fälle sehr gerne wieder.

Colazione ottima, abbondante. Piscina interna, visto che quella esterna durante il mio soggiorno e inagibile essendo inverno ha soddisfatto in pieno le aspettative, acqua calda e livello profondità giusto . Ristorante non lo ho utilizzato, ma visti tutti i posteggi occupati credo si mangi molto bene.

In particolare si potrebbe migliorare l'utilizzo della cassetta di sicurezza. Nella mia stanza era presente ma non si poteva utilizzare in quanto la chiave era rimasta inceppata dentro la serratura, per pochi giorni non sono stato a rompere le scatole, ma la ripareranno. Mentre per quanto riguarda la Spa, forse aggiungere anche l'idromassaggio non sarebbe male, ma per il resto è ok.

La posizione è ottima, su una strada principale e vicina alla città. Tutto il personale è gentile e professionale. È annesso un buon ristorante con cibo e servizio di qualità. La spa è grande e abbastanza confortevole, abbiamo apprezzato soprattutto la piscina, caldissima. Le camere sono nuove, ben arredate, molto pulite. La nostra comprendeva un piccolo terrazzo chiuso.

La camera di notte era molto calda. La doccia, ricavata in un angolo del bagno, senza piatto senza sportello, non è del tipo che preferisco, pur essendo il bagno nel complesso confortevole. Alcuni spazi dell'edificio, forse poco usati, erano meno curati e bisognosi di manutenzione.

Eccellente l'area piscina, romantica e sublime l'area relax, due saune una migliore dell'altra, bagno turco bellissimo, docce super pulite, colazione sempre extra abbondante e di qualità anche per pochissime persone, locale ristorante eccezionale, piatti da stella Michelin, ambiente sempre molto caldo ed accogliente, pulizia in ogni parte sempre al top, camera splendidamente spaziosa, comoda, vista panoramica e area esterna privata, super silenziosa.

Sehr schönes Hotel, toller Wellnessbereich und super nette Mitarbeiter! Das Restaurant Botango ist ein Muss, wir haben sehr lecker gegessen. Die Pizza sah auch sehr gut aus, haben wir aber leider nicht geschafft! Das Frühstück ist ein Highlight: von der Möglichkeit sich selber einen Saft zu pressen bis hin zu jeden Tag wechselnden zusätzlichen Highlights wie Pfifferlingen oder Nougat Knödeln
