Central Park Apartments

Almost at the city center. Parking at a shopping mall few blocks away. The apartment was large, clean, the beds were comfortable.

Given less points for comfort because the power was tripping all the time. I am sure it is now fixed.

Location was grand!!! Easy to get to everything that one has to see in town. Room was good, no noise from the street.

FYI, there are lots of stairs to climb to get to the 2nd floor where the room is.

The location is awesome! It's in the very heart of the city near the park so you can walk around and explore. The host is wonderfully helpful - he provided clear-cut instructions for getting into the apartment and answered all of the upcoming questions and solved issues which we are really thankful for!

I would expect a 4-star accommodation to provide at least salt, sugar, coffee and tea. Kitchenware is quite scarce I'd have to say. Some renovation can be a good idea. It can get a bit noisy in the evening because of the cafes downstairs but that's the downside which goes along with the great location. If you travel by car - make sure you let the host know, the parking in the centre can be brutal in busy months. The host helped us solve the issue, we paid around 12e for a daily parking spot.

The worst part: One week before our stay, they contacted us to tell us that the 3 apartments we had booked were in different locations, when on Booking it clearly stated that they were all in the same building. Such short notice left us with no room to make other reservations. In fact, they changed one apartment to a studio without notifying us, and after negotiating we managed to get an apartment again, but we had to move the next day. This leaves a lot to be desired from the apartments and from what is advertised on Booking. Of the three apartments, only one was fairly new. The other two were in old buildings with very small elevators that were somewhat "scary". The 3 sofa beds were very hard, uncomfortable, and they didn't even give us sheets for them. Only the next day and upon request. One of the apartments smelled terribly bad, and the bedroom wardrobe was quite dusty. As for basic amenities, they left us the bare minimum: toilet paper and little else. The shower gel and shampoo bottles were practically empty; it would have been better if they hadn't left them at all. For those who like to sleep in the dark, it's difficult — there were no blinds in two of the apartments. We thought it was terrible that they changed our reservation at the last minute and that the three apartments were in different locations.
