Shin-Okubo City Hotel

Last year, went to Japan with my friend, we both women and muslim we booked this hotel like 2/3 months ahead. We just surfing on the internet searching the closest and best deal hotel to be around shinjuku and shibuya. Never know there is shin okubo area which it was known as the korean town of japan. We arrived at night and went straight to the hotel from Airport. And turns out the hotel was super close to the train station, and also have 7eleven in the front of the alley. The staffs was super friendly, they do not have any problem with english. Having a separate space for shower, toilet and sink was wonderful. The room definitely spacious if you know how the hotel room space in japan knowingly small but this one you can open maybe 3 suitcases or even more at once. We realize the room not soundproof but the guests and staff super respectful. The only problem we have was the room have a decent odor like used room, but the room itself was so clean. So we decided to buy some room freshner. Other than that we really really have a pleasant stay at Shin Okubo City Hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. And you can put your luggage for awhile in the front office even if you already checking out, we used it for some time before catching up our buses to go to osaka. Super nice staffs. Definite gonna come back here if we come to japan again 🫶🏼

Good location and large space

First no elevator , no toilet on the lobby the price is very expensive and the toiletries is just a sachet !!!! Very keichi shampoo soap in small plastic sachet? What kind of hotel is this

This hotel is in an awesome location, 5 min walk to a main subway line. The hotel feels like an older motel, and do NOT stay here if you have a bad back, the beds feel like ironing boards. The shower only has a wand that you need to hold yourself in a small bathtub, so it’s awkward to shower. Otherwise it was clean and the staff were always available.
