Mimpi Resort Menjangan

This is our second visit to Mimpi Menjangan, and we were not disappointed! The staff are wonderful, the location is a slice of heaven on earth and the scuba diving was awesome

Getting to Menjangan takes 4 to 5 hours by car. It's a long way from Kuta. This is both a disadvantage and an advantage. It a totally different vibe from south Bali

Everything was excellent! Loved the restaurant by the mangroves and the staff are all memorable and excellent. Large rooms and exposed bathroom was a charm.

No fan on the porch making the outdoor seating area useless.

Spacious. Very spacious. Good diving school on the premises. Some cute monkeys on the grasses, non invasive like at some other places. The diving around menjangen island is second to none. Most cottages come with private hotspring.

The bed is a bit hard.

The property is huge and well maintained. The design of every aspect of the property is well thought out and esthetically built There are multiple pools with lots of shade provided. Two of the pools are from the hot springs located there. The property is located on the water, but because it is busy with boats, there is no swimming from the beach. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Our room was small, but we had a huge outdoor bathroom and a large outdoor seating area with a hot spring pool in our enclosure. There was a bed located outside next to our pool for lounging. The spa is staffed with competent masseuses and very reasonable prices. Because we booked off season, the price of the room was heavily discounted. Which made our stay a real bargain.

The food at the restaurant was okay, not as good as one would expect for a property of this caliber. Servings were small. Quality and portions of items on the menu were inconsistent from day to day. The servers were wonderful though. The property is at a beautiful location, but not close to stores or other amenities.

I loved my room, the huge bed was fantastic. Everything was spotlessly clean & the staff were lovely. I loved having my own Hot Springs Pool which was also super clean. The whole reason I went here was to have this experience. The Restaurant was lovely down on the water. Breakfast was fabulous but unfortunately not a lot of Vegan Options on the Menu. The grounds & public pools were also very clean. The staff were kind & always sad hello. I throughly enjoyed my Free massage & went back the next night for a very beautiful facial.

I felt a little isolated. I enjoy walking to other cafes etc but this was not possible. I don't ride Scooters so when I wanted to get food from another Cafe I needed to hire a Driver. Divers in this area are expensive so I only did that once. I was hoping for maybe a little Beach as the Restaurant is called the Beach Restaurant but even though it was a lovely view, there was no Beach at all. I really booked here for the Private Hot Springs Pool & that was certainly well done. I probably didn't spend as much time in the Pool as I thought I would because it was hot outside & then the water in the pool was super hot too, so I found it a little overwhelming. I am grateful I took the opportunity but because of the cost I have probably ticked that box & may not return again. Don't get me wrong everything in my room area was beautiful, its probably just not for me again. ♡♡♡

I liked how there were 2 pools. Also how there was so much garden and greenery. The restaurant had such a wonderful view of the volcanos. All the staff were so friendly and there was a good choice of food at breakfast and for meals at the restaurant

This resort is a little slice of paradise. Beautiful staff. Best restaurant ever. Great snorkelling team. Water stations to fill up your water bottles. Amazing massage. Love it all

We loved our room, it felt truly romantic to us. The bed came with a canopy mosquito net, which added to the charm. In room 103 there was space to add an extra bed, though in my opinion it’s not suitable for children under 7, as the stairs to reach it are more like a ladder. The air conditioning worked perfectly. In the bathroom there were wall hooks for towels and a rack to hang wet swimwear. The Balinese-style semi-open design was beautiful, with a door leading through the garden in front of the room. This was very convenient after soaking in the private hot spring, as you could access the bathroom directly from outside without going through the bedroom. The room also had a refrigerator and a kettle, which was very convenient. The unit had its own gate that could be securely closed and locked from the inside, offering total privacy. Right in front of the bedroom was the private hot spring bath, along with a traditional joglo fitted with a mattress perfect for relaxing, lounging, or simply enjoying the outdoors. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We checked in late, but it was no problem The hotel grounds are quite spacious, so it takes a short walk to reach the restaurant. For guests, there is also a larger hot spring pool outside the rooms, a regular swimming pool with beautiful ocean views, a spa offering massages, a gym for those who want to stay active, and even a diving operator for exploring the underwater world.

The only downside is the distance from Denpasar, as it took us about four hours to get there. In addition, there aren’t many restaurants around the hotel, but we were already aware of this before our stay.

Very beautiful gardens and the restaurant food and staff were excellent. The pool waters come from the underground and are warm Which is lovely in the winter. Love the outdoor bathrooms . The spa Centre is beautiful and peaceful and I had a wonderful massage

The rooms are getting a little tired and could do with a lick of paint and freshen up with some colour

A fantastic resort set in lush surroundings. The two pools were amazing , one overlooking the sea and the other set in tranquil gardens. Rooms were spacious and well equipped and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would love to come back here for a longer stay.

It would be good to have more information about different activities available for guests in the rooms.

Well yeah the property makes me want to buy it. Beautiful area, makes you feel like you’re in a real “mimpi”. Hot springs are amazing!

Dive centre a bit pricey. Other options are nearby and not inconvenient

There are so many areas to relax, walk, exercise, swim and just enjoy!!! Staff are amazing, food was amazing and the facilities are among the best we have seen in Bali!

Spacious natural set up with many beautiful corners and lots of activities, dive shop on the property and enjoyable walks. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Restaurant is located in a lovely bay with beautiful views. Saw monkeys, lizards, butterflies, frogs, close to natural park. Natural hot springs were another additional bonus. Staying with a group and we really enjoyed yoga shala, shuttles to the beach, tasty breakfast and dinners. Special attention from Ms. Suandeni who was extremely helpful and supportive to group’s demands, Mr. Anto, Paju and other great team members.

Service in the restaurant was slow sometimes, but they really tried and that was the most important for us.

We loved the hotel. When my husband had a medical issue, a driver from the hotel drove him to the local hospital and stayed with us until he was ready to leave which was very nice of him. There was no charge for this, we really appreciated his help and patience.

The air con didn't work in our children's room. This was unpleasant for them. It was fixed several times, but never worked properly.

The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, with lush greenery and a beautiful, understated design.　The furniture and decor in the rooms are tasteful and well chosen.The gardens are spacious, beautifully maintained, and add a lot to the relaxing environment.　Having access to a natural hot spring was a real highlight.The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant has much room for improvement, both in menu variety and food quality. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in my private courtyard, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the hot spring and daybed. While relaxing by the pool, a monkey stole my bag and we couldn't get it back!! 　While it is understandable that the hotel cannot control the monkeys, I believe they should warn guests not to leave their belongings unattended by the pool.

The room was very basic. We loved the terass with the sofa. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was very good. There is a walkingdistance t the restaurant and one of the pools.

The area has not much to explore if you don´t snorkle or dive. There is a lot of monkeys in the area and some days even at the poolarea.

Great pools and hot springs. The diving was wonderful on Menjangan Island. The spa was great. Beautiful grounds. The restaurant has a lovely view.

In my 4 weeks travelling around Bali, it was the most expensive i have stayed in. It is not value for money, there is no swimming in the beach front only in the pools. The dining tables on the beach had no lighting unlike other resorts (that all have beach side swimming) The food was ok but not special. The buffet breakfast unfortunately was overcooked dried out and luke warm at best. If you want to stay in a beach front resort choose another.

Great Resort to stay for snorkeling by the beautiful Menjangan Island, where it is possible to see turtles, dolphins, clown fish etc.. The staff across the resort were super friendly and helpful, especially those at the dive centre. Loves the hot springs, the pools and the restaurant. The location is a little remote but worth the trip.
