Zarzma

I originally planned to stay at Zarzma guest house only for 3 nights, but I extended my stay for 7 nights because of the April rainy weather. My room was somewhat small, but sufficient. The mattress was very comfortable. The house was clean and well kept. The location was good, not too far from the downtown Kutaisi. The host family was very nice and friendly. They have a very cute poodle dog called Gutchy. Gutchy made me company many times during my stay. Megi, the owner's daughter gave me a typical Georgian or Armenian cake called Marlenka or Medovnik. It was delicious and tasted so much better than the Marlenka sold in many European supermarkets. Should I ever come back to Kutaisi, I will definitely plan on staying in this guest house again.

The only thing I would suggest is sound proofing, because the interior walls are way too thin, otherwise everything was perfect.

The whole house is decent, good surroundings, central air conditioning functioned non stop.The facilities are practical and sufficient for a smooth journey

There is nothing that I did not like or needed any improvement.

It was a last minute booking, I only knew I wanted to be close to the white bridge but not into the more noisy touristic places. It turned out to be a perfect location. They - Megi and her family - have the most adorable dog and are very relaxed and nice people. The rooms are at the first level (2nd floor for US) I personally liked my room cause there was morning light to wake up with. In the heat the silent A/C was welcome. There is a common balcony with a nice view - lots of greenery - and a kitchen with the basics. It's limited but enough. Coffeemaker/grill/toaster/mini-oven all in one. Good value for price-quality

The matress (with top mattress) was average, but I have back (shoulder and neck) issues.

ZARZMA was the best accomodation we had in Georgia. - friendly couple, even if they don't speak English, they are happy to talk via Google Translate - they have a beautiful Spanish cocker called ROY who likes to play fetch - beautiful garden, with grapes waiting for you if you come in the late summer/beginning of autumn, the owners offered was a lot of grapes - a balcony is available, you can drink a glas of wine in the evenings - the room is clean, comfortable bed, with AC which is needed in the hot summers - the bathroom is clean and big - a small area with plates, coups, and fridge - quite area of Kutaisi, not far from the city centre, 20 mins walking - the bus station is 35 mins walking away, if you want to take a BOLT, it will cost 4 GEL, around $1.5 - two supermarkets open till late in the night, 5 mins walking away - they offer taxi services to different locations such as airport or other locations Sakartvelos gaumarjos! Nakhvamdis!
