I loved everything about Casa VerbaVolant! The location is in the heart of the narrow pedestrian area of Ortigia: perfect! Modern windows shut out street noise completely. The guesthouse is absolutely unique, displaying art, games, and artifacts from the world of books and printing. Fantastic breakfast!

The hosts are incredibly kind. You are in the heart of Ortigia yet you can hear no street noise. Breakfast was delicious

Everything about this stay was excellent. Fausta and Elio are delightful hosts who make you feel at home. The breakfast spread is so lovely incorporating local foods. The rooms and building are decorated in such a thoughtful and whimsical style reflecting the couple life’s work in publishing. I only wish we had planned to stay longer.

The hosts were fantastically welcoming and so knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was like a degustation of the tastes of Sicily and the coffee menu was incredible. Our room was serviced while we were at breakfast
The check-in time was very restrictive with no possibility of a bag drop
