Villa Garance went beyond my expectations. Beautifully decorated with local artisanship and ideally located in the Medina, it offers a cozy, safe, and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of town. The owners of the Riad as well as the staff were very pleasant and helpful any time I needed something or had any questions. The mornings were such a treat on the gorgeous rooftop dominating the whole Medina, with a substantial and delicious breakfast catered for all tastebuds, Moroccan and « Western » palates. As a female solo traveler I felt very comfortable and highly recommend it.

We had a beautiful room on level 2 which had a window to the lane. Breakfast on the roof was lovely and the staff were very friendly.

We arrived and were welcomed warmly by both Pierre and Marie. Pierre took some time to tell us of the history of Essaouria and the Medina . We appreciated this the staff are exceptional . They arranged and booked a Hammam. And our transport back to Marrakech and also restaurants of our choice. The school opposite is a little noisy during the week but the windows are double glazed so noise was significantly reduced when the Windows are shut. However there is no air conditioning so it may be hot in summer. The roof terrace is rally lovely for breakfast bd the furnishing are very elegant . Thank

The location and cleanliness were good. When I asked for some kitchen support to prepare my baby’s soup, they kindly let me into the kitchen and helped me get what I needed. I’m truly grateful for that.
They did not help us carry our suitcases or the stroller upstairs. It was clear that the hotel was understaffed. Our room was very cold, and they gave us a tiny heater to warm up a suite-sized room, which of course was not sufficient. The area reserved for breakfast is on the terrace, and if you’re traveling with a baby or small children like us, the strong wind and cooler weather make it quite challenging. The lack of an elevator was also a major downside
