Villa Garance exceeded all of our expectations! In fact, my husband said he would return to Morocco just to stay here again. Located in a quiet, peaceful alley right in the heart of the Medina, it offers the perfect balance of central convenience and tranquil relaxation. The house is exceptionally clean, classy, and thoughtfully decorated. Every detail is stunning, from the room doors and carved ceilings to the overall design of the beautiful, spacious rooms. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the warm hospitality of the hosts. They were extremely kind and went above and beyond, giving us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, surfing spots, and other activities. Starting the day with a delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace was an absolute highlight. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and authentic stay in Essaouira, Villa Garance is an absolute gem. We cannot wait to return!

Fabulous Riad, from the moment we arrived where we were greeted by the lovely receptionist and provided tea and cakes. The airy atmosphere was so pleasant and the rooms were so clean, inviting and comfortable. The breakfast served on the terrace was superb, we were blown away by the quality and service provided by all the staff. This is a hidden gem, highly recommend staying here

Villa Garance went beyond my expectations. Beautifully decorated with local artisanship and ideally located in the Medina, it offers a cozy, safe, and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of town. The owners of the Riad as well as the staff were very pleasant and helpful any time I needed something or had any questions. The mornings were such a treat on the gorgeous rooftop dominating the whole Medina, with a substantial and delicious breakfast catered for all tastebuds, Moroccan and «  Western » palates. As a female solo traveler I felt very comfortable and highly recommend it.

The location and cleanliness were good. When I asked for some kitchen support to prepare my baby’s soup, they kindly let me into the kitchen and helped me get what I needed. I’m truly grateful for that.

They did not help us carry our suitcases or the stroller upstairs. It was clear that the hotel was understaffed. Our room was very cold, and they gave us a tiny heater to warm up a suite-sized room, which of course was not sufficient. The area reserved for breakfast is on the terrace, and if you’re traveling with a baby or small children like us, the strong wind and cooler weather make it quite challenging. The lack of an elevator was also a major downside
