Arrived Monday evening to find the exterior of the hotel seemingly derelict and like a building site. Panicked for a moment, before remembering an email about building work currently taking place. There was a note pinned to the front of the building, asking guests to access the hotel around the back during the period of building work.
This should have been made more clear!
The whole front part of the hotel was undergoing building work, but this was never a problem to us.
The hotel staff were all fabulous. Breakfast was fantastic, as were the pizzas we ordered at the hotel bar on the second night.
On our first night, there appeared to be a constant, loud humming noise in or just outside our room, possibly from a generator or something electrical outside?
Upon mentioning it to reception, the receptionist immediately found us an alternative room.
The staff all went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond in making our stay special.
A special mention must also go to for the breakfast staff. The buffet breakfast was very good, and the servers were exceptionally intuitive and welcoming in meeting and exceeding guest's needs and expectations.
The building work wasn't a problem, as it took place during the day whilst we went out and we were unable to hear it from within the hotel anyway.
However, I feel that the sign explaining how to access the hotel during the renovations could've been bigger and more obvious, as it was a fairly small note, pinned to what looked like a derelict and unoccupied building.
Also, sadly the pillows were very flat and shapeless. I had to put my jacket and a towel underneath my pillow to prop it up a bit.
This really was my only niggle, as the room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable.

- The staff was nice
- The overall comfort and presentation of the room and hotel were good
- Really liked how tall the ceiling was and the size of the windows, it made the room feel a lot bigger.
- There was a lot of space to store clothes and bags
- The mini fridge was nice
- The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant
- There were a couple of exterior pipes on the room, which makes it lose a bit of the charm
- There was no ceiling light or chandelier, so I had to use the lamps around the room.
