Review – Ambasadоr Hotel Niš
My stay at the Ambasadоr Hotel in Niš was unfortunately disappointing and did not reflect what one would expect from a five-star property.
While the hotel has potential and some areas are aesthetically pleasing, the overall accommodation standard does not align with a five-star rating. Certain aspects of the room quality, comfort, and overall experience felt below the level normally associated with hotels in this category.
One of the main issues related to the Executive Room we booked through Booking.com, which clearly listed access to an Executive Lounge as part of the package. When I asked reception about the lounge, one staff member initially told me it was under refurbishment. However, after consulting another colleague, she insisted that there is no Executive Lounge at the hotel at all.
When I showed her the Booking.com listing clearly stating that Executive Lounge access was included, she then said that it must be an error on Booking.com and that they would ask the platform to remove it. As of today, however, the Executive Lounge is still advertised on the listing, which can easily mislead guests when making a booking.
To compensate, the hotel offered us a Presidential Suite, which was a generous gesture and the room itself was aesthetically very nice. However, the mattresses were extremely hard, which unfortunately made the stay uncomfortable.
Another point worth mentioning is that some members of staff could be more approachable and guest-focused. A warmer and more attentive attitude would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
In summary, while the hotel has some strong visual appeal and attempted to resolve the situation, the inconsistencies in information, the misleading listing regarding the Executive Lounge, and the level of comfort and service meant that our stay did not meet five-star expectations.
