The room was clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed, including bottled water and coffee bags. The location was excellent for walking around and exploring. We were allowed to store our luggage before and after check-in and were given a spare key to the main entrance so we could collect it whenever needed. However, keep in mind that you must climb long, old stairs without a ramp or rails to get from the parking lot to the Old City and back, and then carry your luggage through narrow, extremely busy streets. It’s better either to arrive through gates without stairs or to avoid bringing large suitcases. Of course, this is not the property’s fault, but it would have been helpful if they had informed us in advance.

Get instructions for finding an entrance on time because it’s a bit tricky and both booking and google show the wrong location. We wasted at least 40 minutes just trying to find the entrance until they finally sent us the detailed instructions. Quite frustrating that we didn’t receive them the night before, especially since many Google reviews mention the same issue. The sound isolation was so bad I could hear people breathing behind the door. I was using AirPods at night to suppress the sounds but still woke up several times. Service was questionable at best. After the exhausting stairs and the entrance confusion, the staff member on duty managed to make things even worse with an unnecessarily rude attitude. I do not expect much from staff beyond basic courtesy, but instead I was held at the entrance for several minutes while being asked repeatedly, “You think it’s the right place??” even after I clearly said I had a booking at Rilati Palace. Like, you are the one working here, you should know better I guess? There were other rude and unnecessary comments. After like 5 minutes of this he finally asked my name. They promised wine as an included bonus. Unsurprisingly, we didn’t get any. Overall, I cannot recommend this place. There are many alternatives in the same price range, and this one offers no clear advantages.
