Very cute little cabin perfect for two. Tim was a great host and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay. The only thing I would say is that yes it is close to the lake but it is surrounded by woods you can't really go to the lake from the cabin. It is a great place to unplug because there is no signal or WiFi there. There are deer and rabbits everywhere so it is very serene. We enjoyed our weekend very much!

Location is great, and host is even better. We could not say enough nice things about Tim. He was very kind and helpful even when we had an incident at the lake that caused us to lose the key, he was very understanding and able to come let us in when we got back. If you are considering this place, we would highly recommend it. Don't pass it up.

Our stay was just what we needed for peace and quiet. The host, Tim, was so friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and stocked with basic needs for cooking and showering. There were some family games provided for use. No internet helped everyone to connect and enjoy eachothers company. The television picked up a few channels, however, there is a dvd player. Getting down to the lake path was tricky but driving to the lake to fish or swim isn't too far. One recommendation for visitors is bring a radio if you want music and dvd's to watch movies if you prefer. Overall, it was a nice, peaceful stay.

We had a short 3 night stay but I was fabulous! The owner was very polite and welcoming. He also gave us our privacy. The cabin is stocked with pretty much everything you need except food and personables. This made packing so easy. Ver clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We tried going down the road but it was very difficult walking and weeds were overgrown, no way to get close to the water. Just a little disappointed not knowing how to get there by car. By far the cleanest cabin I've ever rented. Plenty of towels and pillows. Tim and Lois were very friendly, and even kind enough to run TP down to us when we ran out at 8:30pm! Love the back porch. There really isn't cell service (at least for T-Mobile) at the cabin, so prepare yourselves! The walk to lake isn't bad, but there are tons of tiny ticks, so bring heavy duty spray. Luckily Tim lent me his! Thanks for the awesome stay!

We definitely enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was exactly as described and perfect for a true getaway from everything. We have Verizon cell and we had no service inside, very little outside, so be aware. Pick out some DVDs if you're wanting something to watch before bed. This cabin had all basic amenities and the description is spot on. Beds are uncomfy but we survived two nights. Anymore than that and we probably would've have made it but we knew that going in. There are no extra entities such as salt, pepper, creamer/sugar, hotdog sticks/s'mores etc. So be prepared to bring your own or find a switch for campfire roasting. Nearest store is about 25 min away and the winding road makes it difficult to want to make several trips on one day. I would suggest adding some hand soap and small amenities like salt, pepper, creamer, sugar just for ease to your guests; although I have no doubt had I asked to the host to lend us any of it, he would've in a heartbeat. I'd also suggest if you know you have guests coming, turn the temperature up on the fridge before arrival. It was on 2 and took 24 hours to cool to a useable temperature. Luckily, we had a nice cooler with ice to keep our food. The screened in porch is amazing and cozy. I enjoyed it immensely!! Long story short, this place is super clean, quiet, accomodating and very secluded! If you truly want to unplug and get away, this is the perfect place! Thank you for a great stay!

The Host was there to greet us personally, showed us where everything was, how to use remotes for air conditioner and television. All safety items were shown, and excellent instructions given in a book for rules and check-out. He always went out of his way during our stay that we were comfortable. The unit was super clean, anything needed for cooking, full sized stove, good size fridge, and plenty of towels and wash cloths. All the furniture was comfortable, and the bed super comfy! Super sweet screened in porch with an excellent floor fan on really hot days, cooled the porch rather quickly. The decor our the house was very tasteful (see pictures). We did not venture down to the lake as it was overgrown and laden with ticks. But we drove down to a docking area about 5 minute drive. It was exquisite, quiet, and nice walking area. Since we are not huge water people, we loved our couple hours there. Our host gave us great suggestions for antiquing and sightseeing, and took his suggestions! They were spot on, and our room also was supplied with pamphlets and maps to and from our cabin how to go to close areas and back. We were out and about everyday but two out of nine days. There is no WiFi, so if you are wanting a real get-a-away, this is the place for you. There are a couple Dollar General stores about 15-20 minutes away if you forgot something, but we brought a lot of food, so not needed for us. The Host also supplies a nice size grill, and a wonderful fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars, which is totally beautiful. If you truly want to get away from it all, this is the place for you. There is also a cabin available that sleeps 4 comfortably plus a pullout couch, which we never used in our smaller cabin. Wonderful place, wonderful host, wonderful scenery. Oh, and you're able to bring dogs!!! Read the rules, take your stuff, reeeeeelaxxxx!!
