About this cabin rental

Perfect for the couples getaway, very comfortable with large living room. Enjoy days on it’s beautiful porch, or relax in its new covered 4 person HOT TUB! Hot tub is cleaned between stays and will require time to reheat. This property does not have a water view, but offers an affordable get away in beautiful Derby, Indiana. It is located behind the Rock Ridge Lodge.
The Derby Community Center and park is located in Derby just a short drive away. They host many events and also have a boat ramp into the Ohio River. There are basketball courts, swings, slides, a shelter house at the park.
Derby General store and Derby Market are both near us with any thing you may need. Smackwater Cove Bar&Grille is a visitor favorite if you choose to eat out and is just a short drive.

Absolutely loved it. Quite and secluded just what we needed. We went to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. Nice little fishing spots around and just away from hustle and bustle of daily living. Will definitely be back.

It was the quiet tranquility getaway me an my boyfriend needed to unwind and just relax an enjoy each other's time. The cabin was clean an very comfortable an cozy. The hot tub was clean an very well maintained. There was no Wi-Fi and signal wasnt the best but that made it even more easier to unwind from the chaos of everyday life. We will definitely be booking again!!!

The stay was a good experience. Got some well deserved rest and relaxation. The surrounding area are beautiful. The hot tub really puts this cabin over the top.

The first "day/night" we found out there was no wifi. Now I don't know if it was listed this way but it was disappointing. This all became worse by the 2nd night the bedroom has holes in the chinking and the backdoor in the room has light shining thru. I was attacked by mosquitos so badly I have approx. 35-50 bites. After that night I started spraying bug repellent to try and stave the off the attack, no luck though. We didn't say anything but I guarantee we will not be back and I will tell all about this problem. It needs fixed. The Air conditioners were working well until the one in the back room started leaking into the room. They fixed that quite quickly. I didn't add all the pics of the bites these are just a few of them. We had to go get Benadryl salve, internal Benadryl, and patches to cover as many as I could.

We stayed 4 nights Monday to Friday, (April-May) and basically had the whole place to ourselves. It was a nice walk down to the river to watch the barges and walk along the bank. There are a couple restaurants and general store down the road. Lots of hiking a short drive away. The scenery was beautiful, would go again.

Beautiful property! Cabin was clean and cozy. Hot tub was great after a long week. Door locks need fixed but overall 5 stars. Host is very helpful and kind. We definitely plan on coming back.

Hot tub went from 98 to 101 99 to 102 and back to the 99 again. We've been all over and never had a hot tub not keep temp this bad . Also one door wont lock at all (door to outside) and kitchen faucet is really loose... Also give better directions before people have no gps or cell signal

I was looking for something simple . I didn’t need “bells and whistles”. This cabin was perfect. It offered the peace, serenity and relaxation I needed . I had hoped for a better view of the river but I still found the surroundings beautiful. The rock/stone behind and on the side of the cabin is gorgeous. I arrived after dark so the signs at the road could use some improvement to better identify the location. I can’t wait to book my next visit !!

We were looking for a relaxing weekend. That is exactly what we found with the Daybreak cabin. Everything was clean. We had an amazing time in the hot tub all weekend long. Absolutely loved that it rained the whole weekend there because we were able to just relax with each other.

Great cabin tucked into a river front setting. A backdrop of sandstone cliffs created a cozy setting to watch the Ohio River barge traffic. Located near a state highway with little traffic created a great hideaway feeling. Definitely going to come back to this cabin! Check in was easy and cabins are well maintained!

Very cute cabin hot tub smelled like mildew very bad. The back door didn’t lock which made our all female group uncomfortable and the lady bugs flying all over the cabin was a little gross however the view was amazing and we had a great time even with all of those things

It’s a simple place ,but it’s very clean and well put together. You won’t have cell service and the drive way is tricky try to take a suv or truck if you can. You are looking for a quiet easy going hide way this is the place.

Rented the cabin for our first year anniversary, it gave us time alone, quiet setting, gave us time to explore the scenic roads and towns nearby. AT&T cell service does not work but Verizon was great, just an FYI for anyone looking at needing service.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Daybreak cabin. The listing pictures don’t do the interior justice! The cabin was lovely and clean. The hot tub was directly adjacent to the cabin and was also clean. Only downsides were the lack of wifi and no cell service. However, that added to our relaxation as we could just focus on our time together. We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is nice and peaceful. I love all the nature that surrounds the cabin. Even when you walk about the back door, its like your totally secluded feom everything. The hot tub was awesome and the string of lighting on the side wall made it perfect. We loved walking by the rock formation and even saw a "horse" in one of them. This is a quiet town with few stores and restuarants.local park down the street is really nice and you can walk by the river. Would definitely return.

So Beyond amazing. That cabin i originally booked is not the one we stayed in as the one on the river was available and the gentleman offered to let us stay there. I cant begin to say how amazing this trip was. Cabin alone is very relaxing. Sitting on the deck is calming. Hot tub so relaxing. This trip was to get away for my mental health and this was perfect. 2 bathroom with showers, washer dryer. It was so relaxing and listening to the fish and nature was perfect.

If you want to get away from it all and I mean IT ALL this is the perfect place for you. No WiFi no phone signal. It’s much more primitive than I thought it would be. The driveway is in rough condition. We drive a mini van and scraped the bottom coming in and leaving even though we were extremely careful. The hot tub is nice, but bring your flip flops cause you can’t get back in the cabin without putting your shoes on because of the gravel. Like I said it’s a cute place and not uncomfortable but for the price it needs a lot of work. The owner/manager was great. Answered my messages quickly and honestly. I’ve stayed in Vrbo properties twice a year for several years and this one is my least liked. Just felt like amount charged wasn’t reflected in the property I stayed in.

It was a very nice little cabin perfect for two people. We stayed there 4days. Wish there where more towels. Hot tub was nice but by the 4th day it needed more chemicals. We definitely used it a lot. Over all it was very nice.

Overall had a wonderful time! Noticed a lot of bugs and some minor uncleanliness but was very cozy and tidy overall! Didn’t get to enjoy hot tub due to multitude of spider webs and spiders. Noticed a lot inside, and would have preferred it was cleaned out of bugs. Messaged owner and haven’t gotten a response since. Hopefully can come back if issue is addressed, because my boyfriend and I enjoyed it otherwise.

We enjoyed the cabin. Hot tub was definitely a bonus even though it was warm outside. Make sure you check for ticks if you’re outside by the fire pit or go hiking because my husband and I both got ticks being outside. If we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely stay again.
