Fabulous converted cottage in the centre of a lovely town. Beautifully done.

Wonderful conversion of, I think, an old fisherman's cottage. Beautifully done. Right in the middle of town. The attention to detail by the owners is amazing. It felt like we were the first ones in, but clearly we weren't. There are inevitable compromises in a property like this (see below) but we felt that these were far outweighted by the advantages.

It's a conversion of an old cottage in the middle of town so there are some things that come with that. This is not really "what I didn't like". I think it is up to individual renters to decide if this is the right place for them. There can be noise from people chatting in the garden next door (its in the middle of town!). The stairs are steep and narrow and the toilet is on the ground floor (its an old converted cottage). The privacy screens on the ground floor make the ground floor a bit dark. Personally I would sacrifice a bit of privacy for more light but this is a very individual thing.

Exceptional

This place is beautifly decorated in center of the city. The host is very nice, she helped us with car parking and restaurant reservation. Just keep in mind, this building is the 17th centure and there is no bathroom upstairs.

A lovely property to stay close to the centre of a very lovely town.

The property was a recently and tastefully refurbished ancient fisherman's cottage with modern new kitchen, bathroom and wc and dining area and a delightful small walled garden. It was very and tidy and well appointed. The host was very helpful and handed the keys over personally and gave information on the property.

Potential renters should be aware that the staircase to the bedrooms is very tight and only separated from the bedroom on the first floor by a curtain but I am 1.85m tall and managed ok and it should not put people off staying in this delightful historic property.

This house was incredible, the owner was incredible, the location was incredible.

Everything about this house exceeded our expectations. We were in Paris for a few days and it was great to be able to relax in a house and cook home cooked meals rather than being in a hotel and eating out every night.

Amazing location and great host!

The location was excellent - right in the heart of Honfluer and a 1-minute walk to the main square/shops. There are lots of amazing Bakeries and a food market on a Saturday morning.

Parking can be an issue if traveling by car - we always found a space but sometimes had to drive round to find a free one. There are payable car parks.

Great vacation home!

The house was amazing, and our host Helene was very friendly and accommodating. Helene told us the house is a traditional fisherman's home and it was restored to ensure you enjoy your stay. The location was terrific, close to the center. We accidentally left a sweatshirt and she even sent it to our next address in Paris! My family highly recommends staying here!

Exceptional

I have often booked apartments on my travels, but I have not yet stayed in a domicile like this. Everything is perfect here. It is very clean, the rooms are extremely tastefully and sensitively furnished, the property is in perfect condition and there is more than just the essentials in the kitchen. The small garden and backyard invites you to linger in the open air and is very nicely designed and planted. The location is central and very quiet. It is important to know that this is a historic building and the stairs to the upper floors are narrow and steep. I can only express my appreciation and respect for the landlords.

The stairs from the third floor bedroom are steep, and the bathroom is on the first floor, so just be aware of that if you have a fear of heights or problems with mobility.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans la petite maison de pêcheurs : Honfleur de Lys. L'emplacement, en plein centre de la ville, est idéal et également très calme. Nous soulignons l'accueil de la propriétaire, l'hébergement cosy, décoré avec raffinement et très bien équipé, en prime un petit jardin, plus des cadeaux de bienvenue... Un lieu à recommander !

Un cocon à Honfleur

L'emplacement à deux pas de la place Sainte Catherine, du marché du samedi matin, du port etc. La maison est propre, charmante au possible, cosy. On s'est senti comme dans une bulle. Les équipements sont modernes et les matériaux de qualité hôtel. On voit que les travaux sont récents. Le petit jardin est bucolique et bien que petit, il est plus que suffisant pour apprécier y prendre son petit déjeuner ou boire son café. Notre hôtesse était à l'image de cette maison, charmante et accueillante. Je recommande vraiment.

Les escaliers intérieurs sont étroits et peuvent être potentiellement non recommandés s'il y a de jeunes enfants. Cependant mon mari qui est très grand n'a eu aucune difficulté à s'y mouvoir il faut juste faire attention à la hauteur.

La maison est idéalement située. Très confortable et impeccablement propre. Hélène et son mari sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes. Le petit jardin est un plus.

Petite attention par rapport aux escaliers pour les grandes personnes (je mesure 1m88 et je ne me suis pas fait mal, mais il faut faire un peu attention en descendant).

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Haus war wunderbar.

Das Haus liegt in einer recht ruhigen Seitenstraße ganz nah am Zentrum und hat einen ganz hübschen kleinen Garten. Wir haben es sehr genossen, dort zu sein und fußläufig sowohl sämtliche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten als auch den Strand erreichen zu können. Auch die Einrichtung ist sehr komfortabel und alles ist sehr, sehr schick und sauber. Wir haben nichts vermisst und uns überaus wohl gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir noch einmal wieder.
