Easy access to train station. Comfortable furniture. Quite clean.

no curtains especially on ground floor. There were shutters but its effort to close them and open them.

The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 1 child, very clean. The view from the balcony is nice but not great. The train station and supermarket are relatively close to the apartment. The host was very nice and available to answer all our requests and questions.

The location is fantastic. Just amazing. Very quiet and lovely views!

The property potential is amazing but in its current state looks tired and facilities badly need updating. We enjoyed our stay very much but encourage Wengen Apartments and the owners to invest in updating the carpet and improving the facilities. Here are a few comments: (1) The carpet is very dirty throughout the chalet - particularly at the entrance, around the kitchen table, and in the bedroom. There is a ghastly stain (sick?) on the bedroom carpet 'hidden' by a small rug, which is unacceptable and should be steam cleaned before renting or the carpet in the bedroom should be replaced. See attached photo. (2) Much of the kitchen crockery is badly scratched. See attached photos. (3) On the 11th August we raised concerns about the kitchen fridge as it warmed up to room temperature and the freezer compartment defrosted, leaking water into the fridge compartment and onto the kitchen floor. We cleaned up the mess and contacted Wengen Apartments who told us via email: "This can happen when the refrigerator is filled with groceries." We hardly filled the fridge so clearly the fridge had serious issues. We had to throw away the contents of our freezer (two tubs of Movenpick Ice Cream and thee packs of organic beef steak) and we had to boil our milk in the fridge as a precautionary measure. The fridge did partially recover over the next 24 hours (but continued to flash a warming error) and so we are very grateful that on the 14th Wengen Apartments arranged to replace the fridge on the 15th. To be frank we expected more from from the Apartment, especially after paying £4k+ for two weeks. My family have been renting chalets in Wengen's for summer holidays for over 60 years(!) so we have a lot of experience renting from locals: this year we rented two apartment for our family: this one from Wengen Apartments and one from a local family for 50% of the cost with and more spacious with 3 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room).
