University of Bath City Accommodation

this accommodation is right in the middle of town, absolutely everything is walking distances, it’s right by some shops and pubs which is perfect. the staff were lovely and helpful. you can leave your luggage there after checkout if you plan to stick around for a while. we had a studio which was extremely spacious, the bathroom facilities were brilliant (amazing lighting! this is difficult the come by!), tea and coffee was supplied. we had a really lovely stay. we didn’t spend much time in the room as we had lots of plans, so didn’t want to spend too much money on accommodation, so this was absolutely perfect for what we needed - a big, affordable space to get ready and a comfortable bed at night! lovely big windows too, so the space is light and airy.

only one pillow is provided per person (this is me being picky!), the bed is a bit hard if you don’t like a firm mattress. that is literally all i could possibly think of! we loved it.

The studio was larger than it looked in the photographs, the bathroom was excellent, the shower had great water pressure.

No where to hang up coats/jackets

Convenient, clean, safe, good facilities, reasonably priced.

Lack of good air conditioning - it was a hot apartment.

University accommodation out of term time is a trick I learned some years ago. While basic, the room had everything needed, with a common room area and kitchen available also. I didn't see another soul the whole time I was there. Bed was narrow but perfect for one. No chance of squeezing two in it! Walking distance to the city centre and railway station.

The trip was somewhat affected by the heat wave the UK was experiencing at the time. The room became unbearably hot, with the sash window only opening a little. There was no fan in the room on the first night. I asked for one as I left in the morning to be told they'd all be given out. Luckily when I returned that evening a fan small fan was located. I fee strongly that onus is very much on the university to provide such basic necessities in all rooms during periods of hor weather.
