    We had a generally good stay at the Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square, largely thanks to it's unbeatable location. It's super close to Times Square and Penn Station (10 minutes walking each way) making it very convenient for getting around the city. The staff at the reception were wonderful. They were helpful and they even went over and above by sending a sweet message and a birthday cake for my child - such a kind touch! They also offer the luggage storage if you arrive early or want to store your bags after checking out. Good: Location: Right near to Times Square and Penn Station Breakfast: Spread was really good and generous with plenty of options. It can be busy at times, though keep in mind they really don't change up the menu from day to day. Service: Excellent customer service from the warm reception staff to the nice birthday surprise. Room for improvement Room Size and Space: The rooms are very small with not much movement space. Once we opened the sofa bed there was practically no room left to walk around. Elevators: The lifts can be issue during peak hours when everyone is trying to head up and down. So plan accordingly. Water Bottle Charge: Quick heads up There are water bottles in the room and we used them assuming they were complimentary since nothing was written to say otherwise. They actually charged us for them! However after email exchange and request the hotel staff/manager were kind enough to reverse the charges. So just be aware that these bottles are not free. Overall a great spot if you want to be right in the middle of Manhattan just as long as you don't mind cramped quarters!

The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience.
