Location and breakfast

Staff was very rude at the reception while check-in …no smiles; no welcoming; no pleasantries at the check-in ..they were just doing their job with a grumpy mood! so the start of the stay was not pleasant and welcoming at all…

Breakfast was rich. A variety of selections were available. Some people might not fancy having breakfast in disposable plates and cutlery. But it works. Location was great. 5 minute walk to Times Square. Staff were lovely. Great value for money.

Not that I didn’t like, it could be even better if 1- Room was slightly bigger. There was little room to open the suitcase. A bit small for 3 people. You do not spend too much time in the room anyway. 2-Pull out couch could be a bit more comfy. 3-Wifi in the room was a bit unreliable- did come on and off. Did the job when on. The big thing we struggled with was the hot water. Either it was boiling or too cold, you need to get used to adjusting it.

The rooms were incredibly tiny and the pictures online did not reflect that at all.

The breakfast buffet had many selections and was at practical hours.

Front desk staff did not do what they were asked to do. First, we booked for one night then booked again on booking.com in a comparable room as suggested so that we did not have to move out of our room. The lady at the front desk said it would take some time to show in her system but she would handle it. She did not. After being out all day we came back to a locked room and had to spend time in the lobby to have a more professional staff member do what the previous staff member did not. Second we left all day to return to a room that had not been cleaned. I asked the same staff member to have the room cleaned and than we left for dinner. We returned hours later and the room was still not cleaned. We asked another staff member to have the room cleaned and she promised it would be but it took forever and eventually the front desk became rude. Perhaps, if the initial staff member spent more time attending to their job and less time fraternizing with other employees these kind of problems could be avoided. Overall the behavior of both employees was extremely rude. However, the woman from house keeping once she arrived remedied the situation by doing a spectacular job, with barely any English I might add. I'm thoroughly convinced she could run your front desk better with no English skills, just "people skills" better than the people working the desk that night. Thank you for your kind attention.
