Peter and his wife have created a small piece of heaven here on earth. Quiet, relaxed and beautiful Japanese inspired location, perfect to visit Avignon and surroundings. Amazing facilities: comfy beds, fully new and furnished kitchen, beautiful terrace and our friends the Koi carps. It was very relaxing to work from here looking over the lake, swimming in the pool and feeding the Koi. All in the surroundings inspire peacefulness.
Peter and his wife were unbeatable hosts: very friendly, passionate about their location and quick to answer our questions and support our requests.
All was clearly explained before we arrived so there was no surprise of confusion upon arrival or during the stay.
We will be back to experience this unique feeling of beauty, tranquility and beautiful nature again.

We had a wonderful holiday at Maison du Lac and would highly recommend it. The location is perfect for exploring Avignon and the beautiful surrounding areas, while also providing a peaceful retreat away from the crowds.
The property is finished to an exceptionally high standard and is incredibly well equipped. Every detail has clearly been carefully considered, from the stylish design and eco-friendly features to the stunning views over the lake, where you can feed the koi carp, and the private swimming pool set within beautifully landacaped gardens.
Peter and his family have maintained the property impeccably and were always available if we needed anything. We received a very warm welcome, complete with thoughtful complimentary gifts. When our taxi cancelled at the last minute, Peter kindly drove us into the local town, which was greatly appreciated.
Getting around was easy, with Ubers arriving within 5–10 minutes and costing around £10–£15 into Avignon.
Maison du Lac is the perfect place for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday while discovering some of the hidden gems of southern France. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
