A hotel stay with beautiful memories.

The property is obviously historic, and well maintained to keep the original character. When selecting such a hotel you have to accept the fact that certain luxuries are not going to be available. There was no lift, lighting was dim and difficult in the stairway for my aging eyes. The rooms have no air conditioning but for this time of year that was OK. The main draw was the dining. We had a dinner selection that was cooked in the fireplace of the dining room right before your eyes.

Considering the historic nature of this hotel, it was what we expected.

We absolutely loved the hosts, ambiance, family dog and Mountain View’s from our very spacious bedroom.

We love the story of a family owned hotel. It has history and a fabulous location and restaurant.

Lovely stay, highly recommended

I stayed 4 nights with my mother in September. Beautiful property and room on the top floor. Particularly outstanding was the cleanliness of our room and bathroom. Breakfast had to be ordered separately and was plentiful. The owner, Sandrine, was very friendly and helpful. The associated restaurant is not open daily but I knew that and we also wanted to try a couple of the other restaurants nearby. Vence is a great base for day trips in the Nice area. If using public transportation, however, be prepared for the additional time. It is excellent but cost us lots of time.

We both were very pleased, but my mom had a couple of minor complaints. She thought the mattress was too hard which caused her some discomfort in the morning (she’s 78). We were a little embarrassed having to ask for additional coffee and baguette every morning as we don’t care for croissants. But again, minor issues and almost not noteworthy.

A great hotel to stay at in Vence.

The Auberge des Seigneurs is a small family run hotel in the city centre. It is in an old 18th century building so we didn't mind the lack of a lift, air conditioning and parking spaces. Our room was a good size, with clean renovated bathroom, and the room was carefully made up giving attention to the details. We were also served a lovely evening meal in the hotel - a most enjoyable stay.

Wonderful!

Beautiful old world place with everything you need for a lovely stay. Some would be disappointed by not having a TV, but you don’t need one surrounded by the ambiance of this place. The owners run an amazing restaurant, and are friendly and welcoming.

Nothing for my friend and I could have been better. If you need handicap accessibility, call first to make sure you can be accommodated.

Absolutely memorable for all the best reasons.

The food is fantastic and popular with local people out for an occasion, which is often a good sign. The hotel is a small privately owned and family run business, with a wonderful traditional charm - really helpful and courteous. If you have a special request, just ask. Located only 50metres from the old town centre. Quiet road. Large bedrooms, genuine antique furnishings in abundance. We also stayed here last year and hope to go again. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vence.

I cannot think of any way it can be improved. The family have perfected the style of a traditional small-town auberge.

The auberge was the perfect place from which to discover Vence and the surrounding area.

The room was spacious and bright, with large windows and wardrobes for our clothes. It was very clean. The breakfast was complete, the coffee delicious and the evening meal wonderful, very fine. The location is perfect, the auberge being part of the citadel's walls. There are restaurants and shops nearby, all within walking distance. The personnel is really nice, very thoughtful and discrete too.

I would suggest perhaps the choice of an egg for breakfast, or of toast - but these are English items that may be considered as too much. The breakfast is better than a continental one, but not quite an English one!

History come to life

If you want to know what it was like to live in medieval times look no further. Staying here is like stepping back in time. Don't expect modern facilities you don't stay here for that you stay here for the feel of stepping back in time to a simpler lifetime.

A wonderful stay in a great location, amazing views from the room.

The staff Sandrine her mother and Giorgio are very friendly, always willing to help and making your stay the best possible. They make you feel at home and assist you in any possible ways. The Hotel is really well located with an amazing view on the hills yet you can not be closer from the city center. The place is extremely clean, with a lot of character. I would definitely recommend the place, you can also have diner on the terrass in front. An amazing place.

Fantastic stay

We enjoyed our stay at this fantastic old building in early March. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. Our dinner at their restaurant was brilliant and cooked with love. The room was unbelievably clean and nice, decorated with taste. The building itself is awesome. We’d like to thank our wonderful hosts and wish them a fast recovery of the tourist industry after this horrible virus. Stay safe!

Lovely, classic french hotel in a fantastic setting

The staff were so lovely, the building itself it fantastically located on the outer wall of the cité historique. Lots of great restaurants and cafes within a close walk. Lots of parking nearby also. An adorable dog named Cash greats you in the mornings!

ニース中心部を効率よく観光したい人にとっては少し距離が離れていますが、そうではなく南仏の小さな町でゆっくり休暇を過ごしたい人には本当にオススメの宿です。調度品や家具は歴史と木のぬくもりを感じるものばかりで、とてもリラックスできます。それでいて水回りや窓などは適切に改修されて、掃除は行き届いています。夕飯も絶品です。宿の周りの旧市街地も小さいながら活気があり、おいしいレストランやカフェがたくさんあります。人懐っこくて賢い看板犬も出迎えてくれて、本当に温かみのある宿でした。

Auberge authentique avec des hôtes aux petits soins pour que notre séjour soit agréable.

Auberge authentique avec une histoire, nous étions dans la chambre où Modigliani a peint et séjourné, une salle de douche tout confort et une literie parfaite. Un accueil chaleureux avec des hôtes aux petits soins (fruits frais à notre arrivée). Un restaurant excellent, digne d’un étoilé. Un séjour au top que nous conseillons fortement.
