Perched on a hillside, Howling Wolf Den is the ultimate vacation spot for your family and friends. The convenient location is off-the-beaten-path yet still within minutes from the heart of Deep Creek Lake.
This beautiful chalet lets you get right to the business of relaxing. Cathedral ceilings and lots of windows combine to give the main level a bright and airy feel. Delight in the perfection of sitting by the stone fireplace and gazing out at the woodland scenery surrounding you. Watch your favorite show on TV in the great room or take a little quiet time to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book.
The open living and dining area will bring you together with your loved ones for spending treasured quality time together. Equipped with all the essentials, you can make your family's favorite meals in the kitchen. You can gather at the table, with extra seating at the breakfast bar, to share good food and great conversation about your day at the lake.
Two bedrooms are located on the main level. The first is furnished with a queen bed and TV. The second has two twin beds and is the perfect spot for the kids. Each room promises a good night's sleep so that you can wake up ready to tackle fun, new adventures.

House was clean and kitchen was well equipped (a few items it could use: a grill brush and a new peeler). It was nice that they provided a small thing of kitchen soap and bathroom hand soaps. The twins and king mattresses were very nice and extremely comfortable. Both queen mattresses are extremely soft and could use replacing….not a comfortable night’s sleep for the adults in our party. The hot tub water was murky and the chemicals needed adjusting - maintenance responded to that request and fixed it. The trash at the end of the driveway had not been emptied prior to our arrival and was overflowing when we arrived. I notified maintenance about it because we had seen (and subsequently been warned by the neighbors) that a momma bear and her cubs had been dumpter diving. Unfortunately maintenance was not able to get out to deal with the trash before we left so we got an up close and personal view of Momma Bear riffling through the trash at the end of the driveway - we aren’t sure how she got stuff out since there is a wooden enclosure around the trash, but she managed it. The road leading up to the cabin is gravel and steep - just so future travelers are aware. The exterior of the property could use some care - the floorboards on the deck were very slick after the rain and some of the driveway pavers need to be put back where they belong. Overall it was a nice comfortable home that just needs a few items dealt with.

Great location, clean property. We had a bit of trouble with the key code not working properly but it was quickly fixed by the property manager.

Chalet was clean and reasonably well equipped but The advertised gas fireplace did not work. The two bedroom tvs did not work. Loose floor tiles in the great room caused my wife to trip over them. Called the management company twice over first two days. Listened to their “ your call is important to us” but nobody answered and no one returned our call from the detailed messages left. Owner should get a new service that understands customer responsiveness. Disappointing at best
