What a great place. Lovely comfortable spacious room with large bed and great views. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. It’s in a beautiful spot close to some of the best bits of the Lake District and with some good pubs nearby. Very helpful and friendly owners - can’t fault it.

Absolutely beautiful property, the most warm and welcoming hosts, the comfiest bed I could ask for and 10/10 cooked breakfast. I visited alone for work and was greeted like family , going out of their way to assist me with my stay and local recommendations. Surrounded by stunning views and animals roaming the gardens and hills, lovely!! Fabulously located for all the perfect tourist highlights. Highly recommend.

We loved everything. High Grassings is an exceptional stay at the Lake District. I mean it when I say 10 isn't enough to rate them! The view is fantastic, the stay is clean, luxurious and beautiful, the location is ideal, the person (chicken, doggos and peacock) are entertaining and the breakfast is great. The absolute best part however are the hosts - Dave was incredibly helpful from the moment we reached High Grassings. He helped us with detailed walking and driving routes that led us to the very best sights and experiences - our experience at the Lakes wouldn't have been as fantastic without him! We'd love to stay here again someday.

The location was perfect. Absolute stunning house and grounds.
Dave the owner is an exceptional host and nothing is too much trouble. I had a couple of requests and he happily obliged making our stay even better.
He gave us great advice with his knowledge of the area and we followed it and had a great time.
