Cute as Swiss home

Amazing location, with spectacular views. Close to town but also just far enough away to feel like an authentic Swiss alp home stay. Surrounded by nature, simply stunning. The host was lovely, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We loved this property and had a fabulous holiday in Grindelwald.

The chalet is set a little apart from the main town of Grindelwald on a very quiet lane, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. It is perfectly set up for two people and very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed having a glass of wine on the balcony after a long day's walking. The host, Magdalena, was very friendly and even drove us up the (very steep) hill to the train station at the end of our stay.

I can't think of a single thing that could be improved.

Spacious apartment with an amazing mountain view!

View of the mountains from the kitchen window was picture perfect! The apartment is very spacious. Being able to use the washing machine and dryer for free was great. There were two tvs (one in the lounge and one in the bedroom). Large modern bathroom. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook with. Reasonable walking distance to the main centre of town and the First cable car station. Guest / Visitor pass provided gives free access to buses but they don’t come that regularly. So we ended up walking most of the time. The host gave us a free lift to train/bus station at check-out which was kind. Apartment was warm enough in the cooler weather. Mattress feel was a medium. Bed was large.

There was a massive hole in the road, and barriers were put up to prevent all access, which made it impossible to even walk along the road to access the apartment. Had to figure out ourselves that we needed to walk down the grassy hill (at end of another hotel’s carpark) to reach it. Had to pay a fee for paying for the accommodation via credit card. Weren’t advised of these things in advance though. No breakfast, tea or coffee was provided (as per the booking.com description), but there is a Co-op about 10-15min walking distance away so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Wonderful stay at Grindelwald

We loved everything here at Endweg! It was such a pleasant and great stay. You can enjoy a wonderful mountain view from the kitchen table and balcony! We had coffee at the balcony looking over the snowy mountain and it was so memorable! The kitchen has pretty much everything you have (except for cooking oil). Magdalena is so nice and responsive! She even gave us a ride to the station on our checkout day because of the snow.

Just great property to stay

Fantastic views of the Eiger North Face from the living room and bedroom, and beautiful mountain views from the kitchen. Quiet and comfortable location. The beautiful green ground around the chalet makes you feel relaxed. The bedroom and living room are spacious enough to enjoy a comfortable vacation. The hospitality of the friendly and sincere host adds to the enjoyment of the vacation.

I don't see any problem nor inconvenience to stay in this property.

Homely stay, great for families.

The place was easy to find and the kitchen was very well-equipped. It has a very homely feel and the place was much larger and comfortable than a normal hotel room. There are views of the mountains and surrounding farm with cows.

Would be great if there was some sugar or cooking oil as part of the kitchen, but it wasn't really necessary during our trip and there was a supermarket nearby.

Magical part of the world

I wish I could have planned my trip to stay here longer. Amazing view to wake up to and sleep to. The pictures don't even do it justice. Hosts are also excellent, felt very much like a second home. I would very much like to come back here one day. 10/10

Charming rustic apartment with great views of the mountains. Great to sit at the balcony to watch cows opposite.

Soundproofing was an issue. People living upstairs woke me up with heavy footsteps sound at 5am on both mornings.

We did not want to leave the apartment. The views were amazing and the place is very quiet at night.

The location was perfect. It was very close to the center of Grindelwald. If you are not fit or have health issues, going up the hill might seem problematic. We ended up driving our car to the parking lot near the city centre for that reason.

The apartment was just as pictured, with a great location and mountain views. Super close to downtown area and the mountain gondolas. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essential cookware. The hosts were wonderful, we will definitely stay here again.

FYI, the hosts only accept cash payment, which we did not know before we arrived. Was a bit of a hassle, but overall not a huge problem. Would definitely be more convenient if some form of card/electronic payment was accepted.

Very comfortable apartment with incredible views of the Eiger!

We really enjoyed the stay in Grindelwald at Endweg! Finding the property was easy and within walking distance of the railway station. The host provided information about local buses to assist with transport. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and very well heated. It also has windows with views of the Eiger which is incredible every time you see it. It had great facilities and a full kitchen with which we were able to cook meals. Would highly recommend to other travellers! If planning to walk to the railway station, be warned that the majority of the route is uphill and difficult with baggage!

Sehr gut gelegene Unterkunft für alpinen Skisport und Winterwanderungen.

Die geräumige und liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung befindet sich in einem alten Bauernhaus aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Nachdem die Heizung bei dauerhaften zweistelligen Minusgraden an ihre Grenze kam, hat Magdalena sofort reagiert und nachjustiert sowie einen Elektroheizkörper zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Skibus fährt etwa 150 m entfernt ab, allerdings nur stündlich einmal.

Leider wurde uns am Vortag abgesagt, da anscheinend Wanzen in den Betten und Zimmer entdeckt wurden!
