There were a group of lads, but they spilt beer on the kitchen floor and one of them peed outside the door to the dormitories, they also asked to pay in cash, if you book with hostelworld! The beds had no curtain around them, You had go go outside to get between kitchen/reception and bedrooms,

Great value, some communal food and a good kitchen area. A small simple breakfast was offered, and that was unexpected. Check in was straightforward. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Ample nearby parking.

The dorm room was very warm, bunks are very creaky and guests may be noisy from time to time in the early morning. No lockers in the dorm.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location is convenient and easy to reach. I really enjoyed the stay and felt relaxed.

Almost everything was good, but the prices are not stable and change too often. I wanted to stay for a few more days, but the difference in price was too big.

Everything! very very dirty, lazy rude staff, rooms like prison sells, tiny and awfully warm with the tiny little window as big as a keyhole. Lots of wrong types of people hanging around. Wouldn't stay again.

Nothing special, but worth the fee

Very good location, decent staff, comfy beds. The wifi worked well. Worth what I paid for it.

The bunk beds had very little headroom between them. Thank god I got a top bunk. The beds were also a bit wobbly. I was always a tad worried that the structure would collapse (though maybe that's just my anxiety talking). I was only there for a night, and I never used the showers. But my roommates did. And they said they sucked (no hot water).

A hospitable hostel!

Stellar location! Lovely old building with brand new carpet! Really nice staff! This is a hostel, no doubt about it. Breakfast was fine -- make your own toast/oatmeal/coffee/tea etc. The facility provided butter and jam. Hot water was on-demand, which was nice. Mattress, pillow, linens -- all fine. Plentiful TP in the toilets. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware, cloths, towels. Fridge is quite full but serviceable. Top floor is two flights up -- relatively steep stairs to get there, but OK if you're able and/or have light luggage. In August, the other lodgers were an international bunch -- very friendly. You can't beat it for the price!

No paper towels anywhere, so a shared cloth towel was hung in the ladies restroom on my floor. THIN walls between rooms. I heard a woman having a mid-volume conversation like she was right outside my open window -- but she was on the other side of the wall behind my head. Sadly, this woke me up at 11pm despite my earplugs. (I was jet-lagged and went to bed early). The bed was a bunk on a metal frame, so a bit squeaky (but could have been worse).

Friendly staff and a nice area to eat or cook as you want.

Breakfast was available. I brought my own from the night before. Great chance to share food if you don't wish to take it home with you. The hostel have constant boiling water, teabags coffee sugar so nice to help yourself. They supply porridge oats, bread jams and real butter for breakfast. Just lovely. A kind porter called Aurelia showed me along with others to their rooms. Very considerate to an older woman and he has a good heart, patience and kindness. I arrived earlier than check in, they kindly let me leave a small bag of my things instead of carrying it on my walk. Check in is after 3:30 pm. I got to Westport at 11am. So they were very kind to do that. Shower rooms very clean and spacious. Need to be able to climb stairs ok to stay here. Not suitable for wheelchairs or people struggling with stairs. Thanks for a lovely place where people can meet and help each other along the way. God bless them all.

Good to have a female only dormitory but I am not used to sleeping in the same room as others so that general rustling and movement that you get when you share a room kept me awake. I'm sure they would say the same about me. Clean beds Thanks be to God.

Friendly staff with an ideal location.

The hostel is perfectly located and is an old restored building that keeps a lot of the spirit of Westport in the walls and beams.

Breakfast provided is only toast and jam, even a bit of fruit would be a nice touch to round it out. The showers could also use a shelf to stop you from having to balance your soap precariously, but all in all a lovely spot.

It was conveniently located right in the heart of Westport, and had a great kitchen and eating area.

The bunk beds were tiny. So small you couldn’t fit luggage underneath and you couldn’t sit up in bed. There was no boxes to lock your things in. The room was stuffy and incredibly hot. The showers only worked at scalding temperatures and stopped every 10 seconds. The communal area was separate from the sleeping area, such that you couldn’t access your food or the kitchen after 10pm, plus they didn’t unlock the common area kitchen until 8:45 one morning and I nearly missed my bus. There was also hardly ever anyone at reception - made it hard to check in or ask a question.

nice clean. had a car park next to it which had free parking in the evening till morning like 8 AM. Big dining area. They clean bathrooms and shower area. a mirror in bedroom. separate bathrooms. lots of counter space next to sinks.

couldn’t sit upright in the bottom bunk without head on the top bunk. the shower and sink taps had boiling water coming in morning and i couldnt shower. i called them and they let me use the downstairs one which was nice because i had an early morning checkout and was getting late already because of this. I think the bathrooms should have temperature control levers, even if they do have a button for 10 second water. gravel outside the hostel so cant drag luggage so have to pick it up. their breakfast didnt have anything except tea. sockets not next to beds.
