We chose a villa with swim up pool onto our terrace it was very comfortable, with big basket bed and x2 loungers quite private.
The villa itself ( room ) . Was comfortable and had everything you need, nothing fancy, but the bed was extra large we had brilliant nights sleep.
The food at the restaurant was excellent. Although the staff were slow to attend , the service got better as the week ended.
Often had to go to the counter to get their attention.
We thought our swim up villa would be a single story. (They are not. ).
If you’re expecting to relax with noise upstairs neighbours this could be a problem. Especially when you have paid a premium for your stay. We are in our 60+years children screaming and shouting.
Also house keeping knocking on your door at 8am. Not what you expect.

Large luxurious room and bed. Great pool and beach.
Ran a shuttle into town.
Quite corporate so you could be in any country, breakfast room felt like a canteen, but could sit outside which was lovely. This whole area of Phu Quoc is quite touristy now.
