I stayed at Dream Palace Family Guesthouse in February 2026 and it was an excellent experience. If you are visiting Mirissa, this is the place to be.
The Location:
It is perfectly central. We were steps away from Mirissa Beach and famous spots like ZOUK, but it’s also the ideal base to explore nearby beaches like Hiriketiya, Blue Beach Island, Weligama, and Ahangama.
Weligam was a clam beach ,where my brother & myself had enrolled for our Surf classes, after the coaching , to experience surfing all by yourself is like an addiction hard to let go off :D
The Stay:
Rooms: Very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast: Hearty and delicious—the best way to start a day of exploring.
Service: The staff were so polite and handled all our ad-hoc requests without hesitation.
Whale & Dolphin Watching:
The guesthouse arranged our whale watching tour. We were lucky enough to spot several dolphins! Even without the sightings, the 3-hour ferry ride into the Indian Ocean was an amazing, peaceful experience.
Highly recommend Dream Palace for great vibes and a perfect location!

An amazing location with a short 1 minute walk to Mirissa Beach. The front of the hotel was also on the main drag where all the restaurants and stores were. The staff were very nice displaying kindness and care and helpfulness.
Nothing to complain about. The room was simple, but clean and air conditioning worked well.

Proximity to the beach. I love the waves but my partner could not!
Could have left cofee/ tea bags in the room , as the cafe opens at 8.00 am. Even out side there is no place drink coffee or tea as most of the place opens after 8 am.

Location wqs very good, but that’s it!
Attitude were not nice, for water You need to pay seperate, in breakfast dirty forks and knives, sorry, but this was my 5th place in Sri Lanka, before I was sleeping not in Hotels, but private guest houses, never I got this bad service. Also very loud place it is on the street, take Your ear plugs.
