Our bedroom was huge as was the bathroom All well Good choice of vegetarian food which was delicious The breakfast aslo.

Nothing I have stayed before, now its even better apparently there are new owners

Spotlessly clean, reliable and friendly service.

Nothing except a change to the menu occasionally would be nice and some tinned fruits with breakfast

Such a pretty country house hotel in a great location for visiting all the local seaside villages. We walked along the road to Runswick Bay and on to Staithes via the Cleveland Way before coming back for an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant. The staff were all very chatty and smiley. The room was a good size with a large bathroom. We had a great view of the sea plus there was plenty of tea, coffee, milk and water. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served delicious food so we ate there both nights. I'd like to return in the winter as it looks like it would be lovely and cosy.

The pillows were a bit lumpy for me but that's just personal preference. I'm sure they would have had alternatives if I'd asked.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped room. Tea, coffee and fresh milk! But the best aspect of our stay was the staff, all of whom were helpful, friendly and excellent hosts. Food was good standard of fairly standard pub food. Not special but decent. Restaurant therefore very busy in the evenings so recommend booking a table in advance (open to non residents and popular with locals)
