    We stayed 5 nights at Artisan Hotel. The hotel is located within walking distance to Taksim Square and the Beşiktaş area and the surrounding area is not as busy with traffic as other parts of Istanbul. We booked a corner room which was larger and had a bathtub. Bed was comfortable and we were able to control the air temperature in the room. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and you can also get a chance to meet their two resident dogs Lady and Sophia. They are quite large dogs but don’t worry they don’t bite. We had breakfast at the rooftop and the view of the Bosphorus in the morning was magnificent. Great way to start the day. The food was good with a good buffet spread. There are several restaurants and supermarkets nearby which is convenient. If you are walking towards Taksim Square the incline is not too bad but if you are heading coming back up from the Kabatas ferry terminal/tram station/Dolmabache Palace then the climb up can be quite steep. However if you do not want to climb you can always hop on to a bus as the bus stop is located in front of the hotel. Overall we had a wonderful and memorable stay at Istanbul and if we were to come back then we would definitely consider staying here.

    Really great hotel and friendly staff.

    Good location. But Very Small rooms, bathroom door is a sliding door that never shuts properly. No pool or other facilities. When asked about laundry they said its very busy and wont do it until 2 days later. Breakfast buffet and menu are very limited and taste isn't the best. I would rate the stay 4/10
