Overall very good.

This is a beautiful location to stay. We had a group utilising 3 of the cottages. The only downside was the early check out time.

Road getting in was narrow had to stop and back up some 300m to allow another car to pass.

Highly recommended gem in nature

Amazing views from the property! The communication from the host was very clear and the property was well equipped (even logs for the fireplace). Great accommodation, highly recommended.

I slept in the bedroom downstairs and it was noisy when people walked upstairs. One of the bathrooms didn’t have a shower, just a bathtub.

Quintessential Irish cottage with gorgeous view!

The cottage and the view were absolutely amazing! The cottage was so comfortable and cozy. The backyard was a classic Ireland countryside view with a beautiful farm walk down to the lake.

Fab house and host

Location was great for us as we were heading to Kaleidoscope festival with our family and the animals where a bonus for our kids. House is the best equipped house we have stayed in she has everything you would need and even when there was no pods for clothes wash she was down within minutes of me texting her with some. They even baked us some cake and biscuits 😍

The most beautiful location with stunning views. Hosts accommodated our very late arrival which was great. Tea, coffee milk cake and biscuits lovely surprise and very welcome. Kitchen very well equipped.

Beautiful place to stay

The location is stunning. We were blessed with good weather too. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well furnished and had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was easy and promptly responded to. All three bedrooms had their own bathroom which was a bonus. Well equipped kitchen if you wanted to self cater. Lovely views from every room over the farmlands to the lake and mountains. The farm animals were friendly and lovely to watch. We enjoyed the farm walk down to the lake. A car is essential as the farm is off the beaten track though easy to find on Google maps and a short 15 minute drive to Blessington with many places to eat, takeaway establishments and supermarkets. Would highly recommend.

Just a suggestion - it would be helpful to have a diagram of the various farm walks to see what options were available although the walk to the lake and back was easy to find.

Everything about the property is fabulous, except the shower in the downstairs en-suite could do with a bigger head and greater water pressure.

Excellent vacation house and the owner is amazing

Spacious, fully fitted and well maintained. Location is fantastic to tour around. We stay at the same house back in 2015 and it is as good as we remember it.

Quiet with lovely view.

The views were lovely and the fact that you could go for a walk across the fields to the water. It was quiet and the house was ideal for us being 6 adults ie 3 bedrooms and three toilets.

The showers were not very good at all. The pressure was poor and in one of the upstairs rooms it was a bath and attached shower to the taps. My sons that were tall couldn’t use it due to the sloping ceiling so really it was more like 2 showers between 6 people not 3. It needs a rethink and a plumber to sort out the pressure problems. So a little disappointing due to the fact the house was very nice. Dish brush needed replacing as it had food bits in.

Great stay at abhainn ri - we definitely recommend it!

If you stay at abhainn ri I recommend to get cottage number 3 which has the best view, awesome view to the lake and landside, including the farm`s pastures (sheeps, donkeys, poneys, goats...). We had a great time and loved the furnishing of the cottage (e.g. washing machine). The next supermarket is an 8 minute drive (Aldi). The cottage was equiped with smart tv running netflix and amazon prime. However we were unable to run disney plus etc. So better take your streaming box/stick with you :) Wifi was working ok - sometimes LTE was better. The farmwalk was a really good experience for us and the kids. We had a great time and definitely recommend a stay at abhainn ri.

Well appointed cottage in tranquil location amongst the animals

Wonderfully peaceful location. No traffic noise. Just animals. Well appointed cottage. Friendly and helpful hosts. Wellie hut with wellies in all sizes for our muddy walks was very welcome. Tasty Irish breakfast from our hosts was a perfect end to our stay.

Lounge area would benefit from more comfy sofas.

Cozy countryside spacious family cottage with amazing views and friendly staff including the farm animals!

The view from the cottage was amazing! waking up to the animals and the landscaping was a highlight of our trip. each bedroom having its own bathroom was a big bonus!

The drive is a bit far from the city and the roads are very narrow and not lit making driving a bit stressful. However the farm, views and property make up for the drive and this did not take away from how great the property was!
