Amazing location being within the beautiful botanic gardens, which you have access to at all hours, and at the edge of St Austell near the coast and many attractions. Great lodge stay.
Paying £50 extra for two dogs for one night was a bit steep.
Standard check in is late (4pm) and checkout is early (10am).

Beautifully kept gardens surrounding the lodge. Great location for exploring the area around St. Austell, including The Eden Project. Choice between eating out or self catering as there was a kitchen in the lodge.
As I like to know what I'm eating, I choose to self cater. The knives were blunt and the dinner plates too big for the small dishwasher. There were no instructions with the multi oven, and an air fryer would have been my preference.

it was our second visit to pinetum.. we love it there.. we did prefer our original accomodation to the one we had this time .. but its just personal taste.. the location is what we go for to walk around the gardens and feel at peace. there is a big tesco just down the road so its convenient for food shop.. and we love visiting charlestown just dow the road..

Beds were comfy, bedding was clean, shower was hot.
Had to wait a while in car park on arrival for a worker to escort us to building. Did not feel very welcoming - nothing provided to make a drink on arrival, quite bare furnishing in kitchen/dining/sofa area - wooden sofa (quite hard and uncomfortable to watch the tv). We knew it was superior self-catering but after a long drive, a simple tea bag and milk would have been very welcome before visiting a supermarket to buy everything. Toilet roll dispenser empty after one use. Self check out 'before 10am' even on a Sunday (or face extra charges). For us, for a one night stopover, there are better options elsewhere.
