Pinetum Garden Cottages

Beautiful location in the different gardens. Very peaceful feel and quiet. Nature friendly. Helpful staff available if needed. The accommodation had everything needed and was warm enough. There was good recycling. There were plenty of bins for dog waste.

The bed settee was not comfortable to sit on during the day and would have benefited from some larger cushions. The bathroom towel rail did not heat when we tried to turn it on.

The parks grounds were very interesting and enjoyable. The site was quiet yet right on the main St Austell road.

We booked breakfast for 9am but being our first day we didn't get to the open sided marquee until 9.08 and found the breakfast already on the counter and cold. Hot drinks were charged extra. Loved the roomy chalets, the modern shower room and the woodland setting. The chalet floor didn't pass the white sock test so a mop and bucket would have been useful especially as many visitors had dogs.

Lovely location within Pinetum Gardens, which we were able to explore at our leisure. Our apartment was a decent size with two large beds and a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom had a large shower with great water pressure.

The sofa was a little uncomfortable, possibly because it was a sofa bed. There were some sounds from the apartment above, but this was within manageable levels. The decor was simple and modern but looked a bit tired and the walls could do with another coat of white paint as they were scuffed in some places. Perhaps this is something that will be done at the end of the season.

Lack of some basics in property like some fresh milk on arrival just a one pint would be a nice touch. Only one pillow per person . Kitchen roll would be very useful too. £25 to charge for a dog is expensive compared to other places especially as nothing is provided for them. Lots of places when they charge over £15 at least provide a small gesture like a drinking bowl! Ordered a cook breakfast. This was dreadful it was cold and sausages NOT cooked and the whole taste was not nice I think the oil is used more than once . There was one person trying to do everything which reflected in the quality, appearance and taste of the breakfast which was why we left it.
