Location was perfect.

Room above we’re not careful about their showering so often our bathroom was wet through.

Not my first rodeo at Schmotel. I come back when the price and location (its main strengths) suit me. Sure, the facilities are basic but they work - e.g. Wi-Fi (essential to me). Don't come here if you need luxury. Do come here if you want to be in the heart of Brighton and/or close to the sea at a good price. Thank you to the manager/owner who gave me an upgrade - because I was a staying for a few nights. He's always very friendly and helpful.
My only wish was for net curtains on my window, which was street-facing. This would mean not having to choose between privacy and daylight. It's a cheap and easy fix. Fingers crossed for next time...

Good service. Quiet location, mostly. Perhaps more noise outside at weekend, or dependent on other guests.
Slight lack of attention to cleaning: sweeping, mopping, wiping, perhaps in this room.
