B&B Villa Sumrak Plitvica

We only stayed for one night, but this was one of those places that immediately makes you feel welcome. We got stuck in terrible traffic on the way and arrived much later than planned. Despite the late hour, the owner was waiting for us with a smile and a warm dinner – exactly what we needed after a long day. And the dinner was honestly fantastic: homemade, delicious, with a really unique selection of wines. The whole place feels very personal and family-run, with so much attention to small details. I especially loved the little extras in the bathroom – even things like a face mask or deodorant were there in case you needed them. And the location is perfect for visiting the park. It’s so close that you can be there first thing in the morning, which was a huge plus for us. We stayed only briefly, but left with a really warm feeling. A lovely place run by lovely young people – we would definitely stay again.

Perfect location close to the entrance, the owners are so friendly and give great advice for awesome views of the waterfalls.

The family that runs the place is amazing. They were all so nice and welcoming. Marko welcomed us in, helped with the luggage. He was very informative and responsive via WhatsApp. We loved this charming country house in this beautiful village. Marko also recommend how to plan our day at Plitvice Park and his recommendations were excellent. The house is perfectly positioned very close to entrance 3 to the park, which is the back entrance that not many people know of, which makes it not crowded at all, you can walk there for 10 minutes or drive 3 minutes and you can park the car along the road for free If you follow Marko's recommendations you won't stand in line for the boat in the park (because most people get to that part later in the day, while when entering from entrance 3 you get to the boat first thing). We had dinner one evening there, and we enjoyed it. They have good wine also (the father is a sommelier). We were 5 family of adults and we had the second floor (no elevator) all to ourselves. We had 3 comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom and a small kitchen. We loved it!

We really loved the place, but if I have to write some cons: there is no AC, however there are enough fans, and although the weather was pretty hot, it didn't feel too hot or uncomfortable. I would also mention that the obvious: there are some stains to the second floor, so it's probably not suitable for disabled people.
