Our experience at Villa Sumrak was a true highlight of our Euro trip- we haven’t stopped talking about it. The villa is situated perfectly on top of a hill with quiet forest views and within walking distance of the park entrance. The first thing the host did was provide us a map and perfectly planned route to visit the park, along with photo points outside the park. The unit we stayed in had everything we needed. It was comfortable, cozy, and gave a true cabin in the woods feel. The family ownership and interactions were the true highlight of this experience. They were so kind and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were available and served on the outdoor patio. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet spread with eggs cooked to order and the dinner menu had plenty of options. Dinner was home cooked, delicious, and incredibly fresh and was topped off by homemade desserts and fantastic local wine offerings given the father and son’s passion and expertise. If you can’t tell by this review, we didn’t want to leave!! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Amazing stay! Marko and his family couldn’t have been more hospitable! We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed two delicious dinners and a breakfast (could not recommend the food enough). Rooms were spacious, clean, provided everything we needed, and towels were refreshed mid-stay. Marko’s local knowledge of the national park meant we knew how to get to all the best spots. Would give 11/10 if we could!
