Hotel Sintra Jardim

Beautiful, peaceful location. It was hot when we were there so we really appreciated the lovely pool and garden area. Nice breakfast selection for us, breads, pastries, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, selection of fruit juices. The staff were very friendly and helpful Lovely room with French doors and Juliet balcony with a view of the Moorish castle. Lovely character hotel, relaxing space downstairs too with a few games and small TV ( for us to watch the Football World Cup!)

Would have been good to be able to make tea/ coffee in the room.

A nice hotel with a charming olde world atmosphere. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The pool area is lovely with a large pool and lots of loungers, it was very welcome in the heatwave! The breakfast is good, the room is comfortable. The gardens are extensive and beautiful with lots of interesting places to sit and relax which is very calming after the whirlwind of touristy Sintra.

The room has no aircon, but as Sintra has its own micro climate the evenings cooled down even in the heat wave. A small fridge in the room would be nice.

Todo el paisajismo, la piscina grande y la arquitectura del hotel te sorprenden para bien. Esta ubicada en una área tranquila pero a la vez muy cerca del centro histórico y la estación de tren. El desayuno es muy completo y hay lugares para descansar en la sombra con un café. Ofrecen estacionamiento y un menú básico de comida/bebidas. El check-in fue tranquilo y a tiempo. Recomiendo. The hotel and surrounding garden with large swimming pool was a truly wonderful surprise. It is in an idyllic, quite area just a short walk from the old town and train station. Breakfast was varied and there are areas both outside and inside to enjoy a coffee. There's parking offered and a basic menu with snacks, meals and drinks. Check-in was easy and on time.

El hotel no mencionó que ofrece un menú que es accesible durante nuestra estadía y es un detalle no menor ya que Sintra es una cuidad de precios altos. Hubiese sido bueno saberlo junto con otra información referida a sus servicios como el uso de la piscina -y otros detalles sobre servicios varios. Las habitaciones están medianamente frescas pero no tienen aire condicionado y heladera. El baño es de estilo antiguo por lo que tiene bañera alta con ducha. Staff didn't mention the menu they offer in-house, which was a shame as dining options can be on the expensive side in Sintra. It would've been helpful to know this and a few other details about the use of the swimming pool ahead of time. Rooms keep cool, however don't include air-conditioning or a fridge - something worth baring in mind during hotter summer months. The bathroom is old fashioned and has a bath with a shower.
