Quinta das Murtas is even more beautiful in person than it appears in the photos. My husband and I were genuinely impressed with our stay. As a bed and breakfast, it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Romulo made us feel so welcome. He was extremely helpful, recommending wonderful places to visit and great local restaurants, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of the train station, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Do be prepared for some uphill walking, as Sintra is very hilly, but getting around is simple with Uber or Bolt—just download the app. If you prefer, there are also tuk-tuks available. It's also conveniently located, with Cascais Beach and the airport only about a 20-minute taxi ride away. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Quinta das Murtas to anyone looking for a charming and welcoming place to stay.

The only downside was that the room didn't have air conditioning. However, it honestly wasn't an issue for us. An air cooler was provided, and with the property surrounded by lush greenery, the evenings were cool and breezy. The fresh air and peaceful, natural setting made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

It’s a very hilly area with lots of stairs. This didn’t bother me but might be an issue for people who are mobility impaired.

Location, parking, pet friendly.

Accommodation itself was charmless, uncomfortable and with a persistent smell of sewage coming from the bathroom.
