I was not warned there will be anyone else coming to the apartment. Around 7am a man (I assume a cleaner?) Tried to unlock and enter the apartment. For a woman traveling alone this was quite a shock and made me uncomfortable.

Exceptional

After 4 nights on a campsite in Tuscany, this is the Italy we wanted to experience. The bed and breakfast is stunning inside, and very comfortable. Ample parking is further up the hill. Breakfast was an absolute delight. The best coffee I have tasted in Italy, with fresh fruit, croissants, prosciutto, cheese, yoghurt, and fresh blood orange juice set on a rooftop terrace what is not to like?

A beautiful secluded location full of Italian culture and charm.

The rooms are very charming and full of character. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were so kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The climb up the hill and stairs to the location was intense (tip for anyone planning to go: there is a lift in the tunnel that goes up to the top of the hill). There were also a lot of wasps on the balcony, though of course none of this is the fault of the host.

Thoroughly interesting all round

Being in the centre of the historic quarter was interesting, different impressions at different times during the stay. Top notch breakfast and service to start the day. The best beach is close by and a good choice of places to eat/ drink.

Central old town location, close to numerous good restaurants. Help with luggage up the many stairs. Over the top and tasty breakfast offering.

Early check-in allowed but room was not very clean. Brimming with character but way too many nicknacks. Beautiful plant filled patio with a great view but again, too much and not very well kept.

This is a very special place to stay. It has the comfort and attention to detail of a hotel, yet also feels like Claudio's home and is filled with many interesting books and possessions. Breakfast here is the best we have ever had in a guesthouse and can be enjoyed on a beautiful terrace, which Claudio tends to each day and we met him both mornings for a friendly chat. The apartment has three guest bedrooms, a large shared lounge, a dining kitchen (for breakfast in wet weather) and the carefully planted roof terrace with mountain views. Location could not be better, with lovely sandy beach nearby and in the centre of the old town. Monte Carlo is 30 minutes away by train and easy to visit for an evening stroll amongst the yachts. A few details for the room we had: *large comfy bed *air conditioning *remote-control skylight window *hotel quality white bed linens and towels *mini-bar/fridge *powerful hot shower *communication by text/phone call was attentive and helpful *surprisingly quiet for location * top floor of very old building (guests need good knees as there are many stone steps to climb)

Beautiful setting for B&B

Owner & staff are wonderful- very helpful & understanding. Property & room was beautiful & clean. Breakfast was lovely - it is served on garden rooftop terrace with a spread of fruit, cookies, pastries, ham, cheese, juice and coffee.

quite overpriced for what it has to offer!

very good location, in the old part of the city! breakfast was OK, served in a beautiful terrace full of flowers, although rather tights in terms of space! serving staff was friendly!

- no assistance when arriving! the property has no reception, and I had to call 3 times for someone to come and open the door, while taking 3 flights of stairs! - It is virtually impossible to arrive by car because the B&B is located within the old city neighborhood and the area is blocked for vehicle access in the afternoon! i was not informed from the facility about this and I was told to “look for a parking spot” with no assistance! i found a parking spot about 2 blocks away! - i chose and paid for a family room, but what I got was a 14-15 m2 space with a claustrophobic bathroom, a normal double bed and another subpar very uncomfortable double bed literally facing the other one, with almost no space to move around! - wi-fi did not work, at all!

I thought I had booked a hotel - must have misread the description. The climb to the third floor entrance was steep and arduous. The electronic opening system was strange. There was no reception desk and I had to phone to get the receptionist to show me the room.

Prachtige B&B in de zeer oude stad Ventimiglia Alta

De B&B is werkelijk prachtig ingericht. En is blijkbaar onderdeel van een aantal B&B's in de oude stad. Doordat we wat langer moesten verblijven kwamen we uiteindelijk terecht in Vico di Olivi. Deze ligt aan de buitenkant van Ventimiglia Alta met uitzicht over het nieuwe Ventimiglia.

In Vico di Olivi heb je - als je je ramen opengooien continu het geluid van de nieuwe stad. Dat vind je leuk of niet. In de oorspronkelijk geboekte B&B geldt dat voor het geluid van de oude stad (kinderen die spelen op straat, moeders die zitten te praten onder je raam, etc.) Ook daar flat hetzelfde, dat vind je leuk of niet. Wij vonden dat eerste heel leuk!

Vraiment pas une adresse à recommander, tarif bien trop élevé pour ce qui est proposé.

L'emplacement dans la vieille ville est correct, je ne pourrai pas dire autre chose.

Hôte non présent, il faut appeler avant d'arriver mais une autre personne nous a accueilli pour nous donner les clés et nous montrer 2/3 choses dans la chambre. Nous avons convenu d'un horaire de petit déjeuner pour le lendemain matin, à 8h, personne n'était là. Au bout d'une dizaine de minutes, j'ai appelé le contact qui m'a dit qu'une personne devait arriver. Cette personne est arrivée à 8h20 (venait de se réveiller, les mains pleines de peinture/plâtre ?) mais il lui fallait encore préparer le petit déjeuner. Nous avions de la route, nous n'avons donc pas eu notre petit-déjeuner. Nous avions précisé lors de la réservation venir en voiture, or l'accès à l'hôtel est limité mais nous n'avons pas été prévenu. La salle de bain présentait de nombreuses traces d'humidité et joints sales. En arrivant le soir, un résident de l'immeuble perçait une façade et faisait tomber des gravats dans la rue, sans sécuriser l'entrée de l'immeuble... Vraiment pas une adresse à recommander, tarif bien trop élevé pour ce qui est proposé.

Rien Aux escaliers pas d’éclairage suffisante, les gradins cassés et en plus des sacs poubelles ont traînés toute la journée sur les escaliers devant les portes des voisins Accueil très désagréable, chambre avec lucernare au lieu de la fenêtre et difficulté d’accès à la salle de douche avec gradins non illuminés De plus des taxes de séjour Il nous ont obligés à payer 15€ en surplus parce que j’ai demandé de préparer deux lits au lieu d’un seul ! Car j’ai réservé une chambre double je crois avoir le droit de partager la chambre avec une autre personne et payer seulement une taxe de séjour en plus .
