Highly recommendable

The rooms were extremely clean. The staff was wonderfully friendly and extremely accommodating. The definitely kept the reputation of Holland people alive! Love visiting the Netherlands and never have a bad experience. The hotel is HIGHLY recommendable. Would definitely book with them again.

I didn't have enough time to enjoy everything the hotel or the area had to offer. That was obviously on my part. The only thing that I would recommend the hotel to change is to get rid of the carpet on the tables where food and drinks are served to be able to clean properly. Other than that, wonderful establishment

Perfect place as a base in the bulb region with wonderful hosts.

The staff greeted us warmly with a coffee and were able to provide early check in. The location was perfect for cycling nearby tulip fields. Breakfast was plentiful and staff was able to recommend a wonderful restaurant for lunch near a lake on our cycling route.

Our bed was near the road and the bed could be updated with a more comfy mattress.

A lovely stay in this delightful family-run hotel

We chose the hotel on its proximity to Keukenhof; this worked perfectly. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome. This level of kindness and friendliness was maintained throughout all aspects of our stay. As a couple in our mid 60s, we had booked Room 11, the 'family room', because we like to have somewhere to sit (that is not on the bed). It was a spacious, comfortable, quiet room (that looked out over gardens and houses, rather than the road), and the large bed ensured we had two excellent nights' sleep. Previous reviews had made me anxious when they described two flights of spiral stairs, but this building, which houses rooms 5-11, is simply a traditional house that has been converted, so we are talking about a staircase in a typical hose, with a couple of turns on each floor and intervening landings. It will not present a problem unless you have a ridiculous amount of large luggage! Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, both hot and cold, and no problem with asking for refills. We had lunch in the restaurant the day we arrived, as well as two evening meals, all of which were delicious and represented very good value. We appreciated the recommendations from the staff, both places to visit and things to try. All and all, we had a lovely stay in this delightful family-run hotel.

Conveniently located accommodation at a fair price with all the basic comforts.

THe room was a bit tight. Breakfast was great but basic. Restaurtant had a good vibe with different options for seating either old style or mor modern. Nice to have a good reataurant at your accommodation Very tight spiral stairs up to our apartment. No elevator. Unfortunately we had a lot of luggage as the was a stop over returning home after a long trip.

An awning of some sort of coverage over the patio to ward of the afternoon sun.

A lovely place to stay to visit Keukenhof gardens.

Karin and Peter were extremely nice and offered many good tips on local places to visit, bike trips to explore. They also held onto my luggage between my checkout and afternoon departure and also assisted me receiving and returning the e-bike I rented. Lovely people who made my stay extra special.

“Honest Feedback: Not Ideal for a Family Stay”

The property is conveniently located near a few attractions, which is a positive aspect.

However, the check in experience at Bar in the evening was too loud with drunken folks around, you wouldn’t feel like you’re checking in an hotel. Some drunken group even made some vulgar comments in the local language late at night when having a welcome drink, which I didn’t like. The standards in terms of cleanliness and overall quality of stay did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place for a family stay. I apologize if this comes across as negative, but I wanted to share my honest opinion based on my experience.

Staffs are very friendly and accommodating, The breakfast is super, everyday freshly baked bread served. Location is very convenient to bus stop and train station.

MAybe some guest are not aware that they are not the only guest in the Hotel/building and the rooms are not soundproof. No consideration with other hotel guest, they keep laughing or talking so loud in the middle of the night.

Lovely, comfortable stay

The room is lovely and modern with a very nice bathroom. The people were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is was lovely with what seemed like a lot of locals around. So we really enjoyed the vibe. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so it was really easy to travel to. I would even stay there again if I need to be near Schiphol. It takes a while on the bus, but it is all very comfortable. And I can imagine this is the perfect place to stay during tulip season.

Pleasant

The room size is good, recently refurbished room and bathroom although with rather cheap materials. Welcome drink was offered upon arrival. Large free parking available.

There is not a real reception, the check-in takes place at the adjacent restaurant (closed in the morning hence you have to pay upon arrival). The bathroom walls were already damaged by the humidity, the near provincial road is quite busy already in the early morning and you can hear the noise. Same for the limited door sound isolation. As a result it is a bit noisy.

Cozy hotel, cozy restaurant with delicious food and a nice character: Gezellig!

Drink upon arrival, very nice! The room was cozy and enough space for a queen size bed. Windows can be opened to let in some fresh air. The bathroom was clean and has everything you need. I had a room above the restaurant and you have a nice view to the main road. The restaurant is a beautiful old restaurant with plenty of history, delicious food and plenty of drinks to choose from and drink off. Really nice, chatty and professional staff that works at the hotel and the restaurant. Free parking for all and there is plenty of parking for everyone.

Very busy main road, so there can be some noise that not everyone likes, especially if you keep your window open. The shower at the bottom in the corners had some mold, which I didn't like. I didn't mind, but if you have a room above the restaurant: there is no elevator, so you have to take the stairs next to the restaurant.

My husband had breakfast for 15euros and it was good

The room was dark and gloomy, we had to find the staff in the restaurant to get how reservation and keys. we were not taking to the entrance of hotel and had to find our own way along the road. I thought i had paid the hotel but was told that they had not received anything and i had to pay there and then which will cause me to have credit card cost with foreign exchange
