Spacious apartment for families

We had the family studio, which is actually a 3-room apartment (2 bedrooms and a living room with kitchenette). Very spacious, decently equipped. Free parking in the hotel courtyard. We visited outside the summer season, as a much cheaper option to the hotels in Amsterdam. Sadly it was raining and we couldn't enjoy the beach but it looked nice from a distance.

The bathroom needs an update. The staff could be friendlier, but I guess this is just the Dutch way of interacting and you need to adjust expectations. Like, for instance, when I asked the receptionist if they could help identify the owner of the car blocking the parking entrance, it was interestingly met with a discouraging "Oh, you have a problem. You can park in the street".

Quiet and comfy stay in a hospitable athmosphere

Friendly staff; very clean, quiet and modern single room. Hotel is located close to the village center, where I needed to be. Breakfast with freshly baked rolls and good coffee.

Couldn't have chosen a better place to spend the night!

The atmosphere in this hotel is lovely and cozy. The hotel staff was super friendly. I was surprised how spacious the room was! The hotel is situated in one of the cutest streets of Noordwijk! Breakfast was great and the boiled eggs were perfect!

The bathroom is sufficient, well-equipped, but could benefit from an update, in my humble opinion.

Ok but unfriendly service

Good Location, parking spaces in the street, breakfast was good

When we arrived, unfortunately, the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were hairs in the shower, on the wall, and on the towel rack, and the toilet hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned either. There were also hairs on the bed. We politely asked if it could be cleaned again, and they agreed. In the evening, when we came back, it still wasn’t completely clean. We went back to the reception again. Afterwards, the (probably) owner angrily came into our room and asked us what our problem was. We said it would have been nice if it had been cleaned properly. Then we had to listen to comments like, “The hairs on the bed came in through the terrace” and “What am I supposed to do now?” The bathroom was cleaned again the next day, but for the price, one would expect friendlier service. In addition, the room didn’t quite look like the pictures—everything was a bit run-down. Overall, the stay was okay, but due to the service and unfriendliness, it wasn’t the best experience

Cosy stay

A cosy family run hotel, good area of neighbours, 15 mins bike to coast, a good location to explore north and south parts of Duin park.

The family apartment itself is basic and a bit dated, but the bed is very comfortable.

This was such a lovely location, the staff were amazing and all the facilities were amazing!

The staff were absolutely lovely and so so helpful. The room and facilities were just as described and was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and had a great selection.

Friendly and welcoming family establishment on a truly beautiful street

We stayed here while attending Castlefest and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The staff welcomed us like family and were attentive without being overbearing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Good value for money

All basic necessities were met. I had a small room for one person and everything I needed was there. Good value for money. The staff was also very friendly.

All rooms have small tables and chairs outside their rooms. This is cool if you want to sit outside in the summer, but can also cause a bit of noise disturbance due to people's chatter late at night.

Pleasant

Nice location in the inner town of Noordwijk. Cosy front, although the backside of the hotel did not have the same classic style.

My room in the new wing had a very distinct 70-80’s look, with no drains on the bathroom floor and bad ventilation. Ok for a few days’ stay, but that part needs refurbishing.

It is close to bus station. The garden is nice. Breakfast acceptable.

The room wasnt clean: there were spider webs on the walls, hair in bathroom, you can see the dust on the carpet at the edges. The beds creak so loudly that wakes you up! The towels are very old, definetly should be changed!

The room was reasonable for one person in a quiet area surrounded by residential areas.

I wasn't there much as the room was booked for a music festival in Zandvoort. The journey was quite a distance; I only recommend staying here if you have a car was a 30 - 40min drive.

The facilities were modern. Size of living space, plus bathroom and bedroom very good. The manager, and all staff were friendly, and answered all our queries. We thought the location was superb.

It would have been nice to have had a washing machine. However, we are not complaining since we or rather I knew that, but I thought the town on Norrwick (spelling?) would have a launderette -it did'nt. The bathroom was very good, BUT I think we have been with you 17 times it won a wooden spoon since it had not one hook.

very clean and well equipped rooms. in a walking distance you can find supermarkets and restaurants and nice bars.

you can hear a lot from the outside (chatting neighbours). you will need to grab a taxi Brouwer if you need one because there is hardly any Uber running.

All perfect!

First time in an appartment in Hotel Royal - nice and spacious dwelling, well equiped kitchen! Bed is on the soft side, but that's anyway a matter of personal preference. Hotel staff is very helpful - they handled rental bike drop-off and pick-up for me without any issues. Very much appreciated and allowed me to maximise the usage time of my rental bike. Location is conveniently close to a supermarket, a few bus stops, some stores and eateries, and the beach isn't too far to walk either. Will gladly come back again!

Wifi was working fine in the living room but was patchy in the bed room. No real issue, just keep in mind if walking around while requiring online services.

Exceptional

This is a lovely hotel with small but cosy rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They went to a lot of effort to lend me their phone chargers so I could charge my phone battery. The breakfast was lovely and the location is very peaceful and not too far on the bus to Leiden and other places. Thanks very much I will definitely come again to stay 👍💚🙏👏
