Brilliant location for the dunes and coastline. Super friendly staff and good facilities

Our room no 9 seemed to be short of ventilation, but was on the north side so not a sunny aspect and windows didn’t open because on external wall.

I would definitely recommend 'hotel stayokay'.

Helpful staff! We got a warm welcome. Parking: Free of cost Breakfast: Top class Wi-Fi: Not sure about the speed. Did not try. Room service: We stayed only two nights. They cleaned the room in between. Thumbs up! Location: Top.

We got a room with a toilet/ bathroom attached. Unfortunately, there was no air ventilation in the toilet, which left a bad smell inside the room. I hope it will be fixed for the next guests.

Nice and cozy place away from the city

A great place to escape city life, with tulip fields and beaches within walking distance; the room is clean and cozy — the best you could expect from a hostel.

It takes about a 40-minute walk from the nearest public transport stop if you don’t have a car or bikes.

Friendly help full staff. Exceptional clean. There is plenty of choice at the buffet style breakfast. 10 of us stayed here for 2 nights & we will return. Excellent Hostel a big thank you to all staff.

End of the world

It was another end of the world. Beach is walking distance from the hotel where you are in a close contact with the wild life, on sand dunes. Breakfast was excellent, and a bar and adjacent seating/ play area where one can have a drink and play in the evening are great.

Good for looking at the tulips or visiting the beach

The location is excellent. It is not even 10 minutes from the Keukenhof gardens and 1,5 km on foot from the beach (or 2,5 km by car). The area is calm and is surrounded by yards and yards of tulip fields if you visit during the tulip season. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is ample space for kids to run around an play.

Everything is super expensive. The buffet dinner costs around 18 euros per person for a simple meal (potatoes and chicken and veggies) and even then you are allowed only one piece of chicken per person (explicitly mentioned)! The pizzas are ok though but still on the expensive side. I don't know if this is particular to this place or a norm in the Netherlands.

We would come back

We stayed for 2 nights, hotel is close to Keukenhof gardens which was our main destination. Very friendly staff, especial thank you to Kevin and young pretty girl at reception and bar area (sorry, didn't ask for a name), clean room, great breakfast.

If I need to mentioned something, the women at the kitchen who worked on morning on May 6 upset us a little. Our daughter wanted to help and brought the dishes to that window, but seems like she didn't push them far enough, so women showed grumpy face, shaked her head and was mombling all the time, and she did it for another guests as well. Not a nice gesture. For our defense - we didn't see any signs we need to clean a table after us.

Breakfast was decent. Room was OK. Location was great!

On the second night the heating didn't work in our room. I complained 3 times but they didn't know why and / or how to fix it. It looked to me like they wanted to make some extra money to switch the heating off in some parts of the buildings as it was getting warmer outside. They didn't think that the nights were still cold. The receptionist was very polite and carying but she could not help.

The friendly atmosphere, perfect for families but also couples, the breakfast (especially on week-ends with the waffles and croissants 😋), the proximity to the sea and the tulip fields (April).

The staff / owner family very kind and helpful . location seems great.

It is good for youths for activity stay. Not a place for family stay. Rooms are so cramped, no light or ventillation. Breakfast was disappointing... Only hot thing was tea. There wasn't even a toaster.

Unfortunately the lack of AC made the nights a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Our visit was during a heatwave, so the temperatures were unexpectedly high.
