Conveniently located near the train station, and with free car parking. We stayed at the Japanese-style room with tatami floors and futons to sleep, and it was huge and comfortable. It has a nice windowed seating area with mountain views.
The hotel is divided in 3 large interconnected buildings, each with its own distinct public bath, which for us was the best part of the experience. We didn't even touch the shower in our room! Be sure to check the cleaning schedule of the baths in advance.
The Japanese style breakfast buffet is spectacular. Delicious, plenty of options, great way to start the day. We didn't try the hotel restaurants for lunch or dinner.
Only thing I didn't like was, when checking out at 11:00, I asked them to store our luggage, so we could spend some time exploring the town before leaving to our next destination, and they only offered to keep it until 12:00. That was weird and a bit of a letdown.

The hot spring is good.
The room is old, the door is hard to open and noisy.
The faucet is old style with hot and cold water separated, so it’s hard to use and get good temperature.
Besides, the water pressure is too low to have a comfortable bath
