What a great place to stay! We felt very welcome with our three year old and they provided great kids meals. The staff were very kind. We also loved the onsen as well. The place was only a 30min walk into town or about 1400 Yen via taxi
All of it was great!

The evening meal was absolutely incredible. The dining room was very traditional and very beautiful and the food was amazing. Delicious, beautifully presented and just wonderful. The owners were delightful. Didn’t speak much English (but much more than our Japanese!) and they were so welcoming and helpful.
Tatami mattresses could have been a little thicker.
