Very nice ryokan with good facilities and onsen. Walking distance to all the places.
We were charged an additional 900 Yen (3 people) for “accommodation tax”. Not unusual for a ryokan in a tourist town, but it should have been stated on the Booking.com site.

I really liked the room and the onsen-style bathroom—truly relaxing and beneficial. The location is perfect, and the room was very spacious and beautiful.
I didn't like the fact that an extra fee is charged at check-in (which doesn't show up on Booking.com)... also, the hot water in the bathroom takes 10 minutes to half an hour to start working... I suggest fixing that... otherwise, we had a very good experience.

I liked the welcome with my name and shoes. The place felt very traditional. The onsen was adequate.
The shoes were too big to safely go up and down 3 flights of stairs. Barefoot it was!
