The location
Lack of hot water, heating not working in son's room, nowhere to put or clean muddy shoes, no staff on reception at check out. Thin walls - we could hear the couple next door.

I love staying here it’s good value and close to Cambridge
The upstairs rooms have very low ceilings and I am a tall man

The land is beautiful
The bed was uncomfortable, lumpy mattress that you rolled into the middle of, bed frame so noisy you literally move an inch and it wakes you up! The breakfast was horrible, nothing looked cooked

A pleasant room. It was an overnight stop and a cold one, but the room was comfortable. Very convenient for the park and ride at Eddington and the Storey’s Field centre. Spacious car park and easy access.
A breakfast at the Rectory would have been convenient but at £16 a head we thought it prohibitive and left without.

Beautiful hotel with stunning grounds
It’s a little basic but the price reflects that

The location, welcoming staff and comfortable rooms at a very good price.
Unfortunately there was no breakfast available due to time of the year, just a slight inconvenience.

Perfect location and welcoming staff. We chose a lovely room in the main building on this occasion. It had a beautiful view of the back garden and out into surrounding countryside.
One of the twin beds was very near the single glazed window and it was a cold winter night but the thick drapes helped with the drafts and the room was well heated.

Nice location
The room was freezing cold.

Nice location and grounds. Very nice lady on reception who made us feel welcome. A really good warm shower!
And a couple of cheeky bunnies running around the fields too.
Parking your car for £5 - the car park is a closed off/private space for the hotel, not in any major town or city and it was also really empty. Last year the parking was free so it must be a new way to sneak a few quid out of the customers. Its not even a great car park. Its a bit of land with gravel on it.
Also our room was very tight with low ceilings that i hit my head on multiple times.

My wife and I decided to visit the Cambridge Christmas Market and booked this hotel for a one night stay. As I snore a bit these days, and my wife is a light sleeper, we booked two single rooms at a great price. We arrived at 4:10pm and received a warm welcome from the very nice lady on reception. We were given our keys to two house rooms on the second floor. As the rooms were a budget price and the hotel described themselves as "no frills", we were very pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms exceeded our expectations. Both rooms were clean, warm and cosy with tea and coffee making facilities, and the bedding smelt and looked fresh and clean. There was a nice shower with large towel and a small bar of soap provided. The receptionist offered to call a cab for us to go into Cambridge centre which cost us £13.20. On our return, we both had a lovely, peaceful night's sleep and a lovely hot shower in the morning. As it was dark when we arrived, it wasn't until morning when we opened the curtains that we fully appreciated the country views. When we first arrived, we were given the choice to stay for breakfast with no reservation in advance required for the price of £16.00 each. In the morning, we decided to take up the option and we are so glad that we did. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely lady in the dining room and everything was laid out beautifully, with choices of cereals, fruit, pastries, cheese and cold meats, plus the usual cooked fayre. After a bowl of fresh melon and pineapple chunks, I went for the cooked breakfast, while my wife enjoyed her croissant, pain au chocolat and cooked breakfast. There was also a good choice of coffees, teas, and fruit juices. We had a table next to the cozy open fire and had a very enjoyable breakfast. Overall, you couldn't fault this hotel for the price, it far exceeded what we would expect for a "budget" hotel.

Lovely chalet. Very clean and welcoming
The room was cold on arrival and we had to work out how to get the heater to work. The shower head didn’t stay up so it had to be held in place. The kitchen area was clean but with absolutely zero utensils or cooking implements

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms very clean and cleaned regularly, beautiful surroundings, beautiful rooms, beautiful gardens, a small outdoor pool was open til the end of September and was an amazing added extra. Just peace, lovely accommodation, nature and friendly staff. its on the outskirts of the city centre, has loads of safe parking and easy access to the centre of Cambridge by bus, taxi, bike or even walking. A great base from which to visit Cambridge. Only just outside the busy traffic of the city centre, but the most peaceful, idyllic surroundings to stay in. A little bit of heaven :)
If you dont want to go into the city centre for dinner, you have to walk to the pub close by (but its only a short pretty walk and a great pub, and there is a supermarket close by.) A small inconvenience for the tranquility of the staying here.

The property is beautiful and the room was nicely decorated and very clean.
I would have liked to be able to get something simple to eat and drink in the evening. I had to go out to find things and I don't know Cambridge so would have been really good to be able to stay there after a long day of training.

Very good bedroom, good breakfast although not everything I requested was supplied (eggs forgotten). Location is very convenient for access to Cambridge. The ensuite bathroom had a low beam which I hit my head on, despite the very small warning sign. The whole room is bright white so it would be good to paint the beam in a contrasting colour.
