Hotel Steinbock

The staff and the restaurant.

Was not in the main hotel as per Foto. Was placed in a separate building above the Coop Supermarket. Everything was clean with a good bed. It was not clear when booking that I would be allocated to a separate building.

Beautiful hotel with the best view in the whole world. Perfect location.

Nothing

This is the most perfect hotel in the most perfect location. We stayed for 6 nights and met all the staff during that time and they were all fantastic. The view of the valley from the balcony is just stunning. A decent choice of food for breakfast and we ate there every night and the meals and costs were great.

Having to leave

The double room space was ok and a family can move around if there are no luggage lying around. The breakfast was quite nice with eggs, toast and cheese. There is a Coop on the ground floor, to make grocery shopping easier.

When you book the double room, the rooms are in a different location (1 minute walk across the main road) than the reception/breakfast area. That means, the mountain view is kind of missing . There was a big wall next to one of the windows, not a mountain view. The reception could be nicer. There are no lifts and have to take the stairs to go up the third floor. While doing the check-in, their magnetic swipe reader could not fetch my passport details, instead of manually typing (which I eventually protested to do on-behalf of them) they were bending the passport pages and swiping back and forth multiple times. What if they just tore my passport bio-data page just to fill in my name?
