Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa

The location was excellent — set within a peaceful park that made the whole stay feel calm and relaxing. The hotel itself is a beautiful building, and the pool looked lovely. Breakfast was brilliant, with plenty of choice, and the restaurant served really nice food. The bedroom was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The room was extremely hot because there was no air conditioning, which made it quite uncomfortable. We also had to pay an extra £5 per person to use the spa and gym facilities, with no explanation given. Most of the staff seemed rather miserable, although three members were genuinely pleasant. We were fortunate to be on the top floor, as our flooring was very old and made a lot of noise — I would have hated staying down the first floor.
