Pool changing rooms smelled bad

We have stayed here many times mainly for the location and the pleasant staff.

On this occasion the room was stifling hot and was very uncomfortable. It wasn't particularly warm outside so not sure where the heat was coming from. My main issue was, there was an event on and the sound was deafening till 1am, I found this really uncomfortable. Surely this should be considered when allocating rooms. Next time I stay i will check if an event is on and if so could our room not be above it. As mentioned in a previous review, breakfast was cold. The hot lights really don't keep it warm, I am surprised that every guest doesn't complain about this. We also had an issue with our meal in the restaurant the previous evening. Hopefully the owners/ managers will revamp the menu and quality of the catering side of the business. Although I would add the haggis fritters were the best I have tasted. I really like this hotel and my criticism is to hopefully help it improve.
