Clean tidy room good value for money
No chair made it uncomfortable working on my laptop, small single room is pretty small.

Abbey Inn is a good place for me to stay and have used it several times. Staff are friendly and helpful and my room was clean. I’ve had the same room 3 times and was happy so see that my previous concerns about the shower had been remedied. Room had a fan to help with the heat. Room was small but adequate and had all expected facilities. Had a good sleep. Nice breakfast in the morning. Will be happy to use again in the future.
There is a loud extractor fan from the kitchens just outside the window. This was off through the night but might be annoying for some at other times. No BBC news on the TV which might have been a choice of the management (didn’t use the GB News option that was available!).

Staff were very friendly and the food we had was superb
I paid extra for the larger small room and ended up given the smaller room which wasnt comfortable i was only booked for 2 nights and the other person in larger room was already unpacked and away out from hotel so pointless complaining.

The breakfast was great
We knew it was above a pub and the listing mentioned live music on weekends but it was still very loud when we stayed (Sun, Mon, Tues) as the staff were closing up after the pub shut. Even with earplugs we could hear loud banging of tables being moved until very late. The room did not appear to have been vacuumed (there was a lot of fluff on the carpet and a blueberry under the console) plus someone’s old contact lenses stuck to the bedside table.
