Location was perfect and just what I was looking for and in walking distance to the station. Room perfect, quiet with a bathroom and big enough and a comfortable bed. Bathroom had soap, shower gel, shampoo and a hairdryer which was fantastic.

Bus from airport, #203, was quick and inexpensive, likewise taxi from Atocha Sta. La Vera is a short walk to metro, restaurants; there's great coffee shop 2 minutes in direction of Anton Martin metro stop. Small but good elevator to apartment level. Furnishings in room very good. See the street view from the mini-balcony.
At night there's a choice of a cool breeze through open window with being awakened 2 or so times per night by load street noise (how do the Spaniards manage to make all that noise!, or quiet and no breeze. We chose the former and were able to quickly get back to sleep; in the summer the might be a problem. Walking to the Prado Museum is via a bit of a hill and for 80-somethings was a bit slow-going.

Central location in Madrid and a few minutes walk from the Metro.
The property was safe and clean.
I didn’t think the property was value for money.
There was no air conditioning in the room.
It was a bit noisy.
